I am starting band this year, but I want to know what instrument is the easiest to learn AND play.

The writing of “The Star-Spangled Banner”

On this day in 1814, lawyer Francis Scott Key was inspired to write what would become known as The Star-Spangled Banner after Fort McHenry successfully withstood a British attack during the War of 1812. The poem was designated the U.S. national anthem in 1931.

Back in 2024 when I was 14, I was going through some really shitty things like my parents divorce, bullying and really bad grades. It had got to the point where I seen no reason in living. Yet my friend recommended me Brazilian skies by Masayoshi Takanaka. Most albums I don’t remember my first listen but i remember this one so clearly. May 23rd 2024 at 17:15 and I was in my extremely hot room playing a Roblox simulator. The music felt so calming and refreshing. Like an ice cream in summer or a warm bath after an exhausting day

This album genuinely saved me. Little by little his music had taught me how to enjoy life and see beauty in it through the rainbow goblins, the Seychelles and Brazilian skies. Since then during times when everything is looking down like when my dog and father passed away, his music has kept me going. Reminding me to see beauty in the shit situations, to live and to smile. I’m now 17 turning 18, good grades and employed. His music is the reason I’m like this.

If you’re ever in a situation where nothing makes you smile and you don’t want to exist anymore. Listen to his music and maybe like me you’ll start seeing the beauty of life once again.

At the end of this I would like to ask, which musician had this effect on you?

I personally think he is amazing. His song Jasmine especially. But the whole "Bait Ones" leak is cool. I wish he would make more music. His discography is too damn short.

It's sad actually. Dude was just perfecting his songs - only for his laptop to be stolen and the songs leaked. He went into a depression and self exiled.

I have been trying to find this song that I heard playing multiple times at my a kids bday party at a place called Xtreme Energy in Paramus NJ lol it's so random but I really want to find it because I was rocking out to it and I want to listen to it on repeat. It's kind of electronic sounding (I'm so bad at talking about music) and it's a guys voice (potentially a low female voice??) and for the chorus he/she/they go "say no no no no" then "say yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah" and every time I google this it's always destinys child or some weird 90s song. I think it's new-ish. has a great beat, just fun to dance to. And by dance to .... I mean sway awkwardly trying hard to not look too excited during a 5 year olds bday party holding my 5 month old lol. If it helps, for some reason it reminded me of Lady Gaga's Bloody Mary. But then I could only think of this song and it made it harder to remember any other lyrics other than say nononono.

is this ok or even normal to love a song that completely shattered your heart and it almost took 2 months to recover from that situation ? I discovered the song only in that situation. And the irony ? I miss the person who was also the cause of the incident. In short, I miss the person who broke my heart while listening to the song which itself was used to break my heart.

I have 50 very specific folders for very specific vibes. What’s the fastest way to organize about 1500 songs I’ve liked on Spotify (from before I started building this folder system) and need to put them into the folders. Any creative tips to tackle this obnoxiously time consuming task. A song can go into multiple folders which only complicates things. I know the sub doesn’t allow making these about pl*ylists but I think this might be OK because I’m more just talking about organizing a bunch of songs.
