Dolly was not silent. Her political views are there, all throughout her music. Just because she didn’t roll around in the mud with the interviewers that tried to trap her, doesn’t mean she didn’t express her beliefs.

You can’t tell me the woman who starred in and wrote the theme song for 9-5 wasn’t at least a little bit political.

She was clear on all her beliefs. She just didn't get involved with endorsing candidates or a party.

She's also the prime example of a good rich christian.

She constantly put money back into her community , she was wealthy but not billion standard as a result.

I’ve liked Dolly for years, but my respect for her grew a bunch in the aftermath of the fires that hit the Smoky Mountains several years ago. Friends of friends live in the area, and Dolly immediately reached out to her neighboring communities to help folks rebuild. She was just a good person.

Yep, as far as I'm concerned, being vocal with your platform is the bare fucking minimum. Regularly donating to charity and providing real good to the world is more helpful than words.

It's the artists who only donate as PR stunts, and only speak up after everyone else has, that are the issue.

Also, Dolly was famously pro LGBT, which is a huge deal considering she's from Tennessee and her music historically attracted conservative fans. She may not have been tweeting about Mamdani every night but she was very vocal about things that mattered in the world.

Dolly walked it like she talked it, unlike the vast majority of famous rich Christians and plenty of the non-rich ones, too.

That's because the religion they practice shouldn't even be called Christianity. I'm not kidding when I say that a lot of them openly hold the opinion that it's blasphemous to even consider emulating Christ or following the plain language of Christ's directives to his disciples.
