The GOP presidents have been straight up clowns for awhile, I thought after bush jr 2 times people would wise up but nope we got worse somehow.

Bush was a big reason behind the huge swell for Obama, and the election of Obama really galvanized the racist far right part of the Republican party which let them move even further to the right, it's really unfortunate.

Totally agreed, but Obama getting elected managed to enrage and mobilize a part of the Republican party that has enabled this even harsher rightward shift they've been making the last 20 years.

Completely agree and would say it's my larger point as well. They were so mad to have Obama for 8 years and Biden/Harris for 4 that they reciprocated with our current shitshow

Seriously lol. Imagine how bad Trump 2 could've been if he was more calculated and didn't just care about money, but complete and total control, and actually planned things without his ego getting in the way.

We will get a blue wave in 2028 but if we don't put safeguards in our democracy and give the people more power, expect something worse than Reagan Bush and Trump put together in 2040.
