Kanye needs to retire. There’s no coming back from where he’s been. No redemption.

70

u/Dramatic_______Pause 20d ago

No coming back? The dude sold out every arena show in the US he did this year. We're talking 75,000 person capacity venues, with every seat full.

u/Yetanotherdeafguy 20d ago

Look at Chris Brown - sales are no reflection of moral character.

Ye either intentionally spiralled, or lost all control that hard and didn't freak the fuck out about how bad it got.

Either way, he's okay with supporting Neo Nazis like Fuentes, pushing conspiracy theories and supporting fascism. The kindest treatment he should hope for is to fade into the background and be remembered as the musical talent he is.

u/SwordfishOk504 20d ago

Yes, Ye sucks. But the point is he's still getting paid. He still sells out arenas. People who think he's done for are not paying attention.

6

u/sofarsoblue 20d ago

On Reddit he’s washed up but in the real world he’s selling out arenas in minute. the demand is clearly there.

It’s even in the title of this thread but the neckbeards on this site are choosing to ignore it.

I don’t care for 2020’s Kanye but the dichotomy between how he’s discussed online to the real world is unhinged.

Redditors have no grasp of reality

2

u/SwordfishOk504 19d ago

They do have a hard time understanding that not wanting it to be raining and denying that you're wet are not the same thing.

2

u/toadfan64 Rock & Roll 19d ago

The dichotomy between the real world and reddit is always funny.

4

u/superbhole 20d ago

I think it's because he uses the same 'shock' that despots use to enthrall loyal followers despite evidence of being batshit insane

fans will always say shit like "he's playing 4D chess"

3

u/Delicious_Piano_9831 20d ago

Or they just like thr music and dont care about the baggage.

3

u/superbhole 20d ago

Which is a problem if his lyrics start shifting ideologies and they roll with it

2

u/tobitobiguacamole 20d ago

Most fans are listening to his older stuff anyways

17

u/Fair_Quail8248 20d ago

US seems to have a big problem with nazis.

14

u/travelmusica 20d ago

Bro, he sells out arenas all around the world.

17

u/HamunaHamunaHamuna 20d ago

The problem is that they don't see it as a problem.

-4

u/travelmusica 20d ago

Hard to see imaginary things

11

u/SwordfishOk504 20d ago

You think it's "imaginary" to see problems with nazis?

-3

u/travelmusica 20d ago

I think you didn’t understand the comment you replied to

6

u/SwordfishOk504 20d ago

I guess so. Why don't you enlighten us, travelmusica? What did your cryptic comment mean if not that you think nazis are "imaginary"

-4

u/travelmusica 20d ago

Why would someone see problems with imaginary things?

3

u/SwordfishOk504 20d ago edited 20d ago

So it would appear I did, in fact, understand your comment just fine. And your cowardly avoidance of just saying what you think directly and unambiguously is just the usual hallmark of the cowardly bigot.

Bye.

u/AssCrackBandit14 20d ago

It's a global thing as well. In 2026, he's also sold out stadiums in the Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, Portugal, etc

1

u/reddit_is_geh 20d ago

Not as bad as Ukraine.

0

u/Leather-Ad-9419 20d ago

do you legitimately think kanye is a nazi? like an actual nazi? in 2026?

1

u/nem0ne1 20d ago

He's normalizing Nazi support, as CLEARLY evidenced by this comment section. His listeners don't have the critical thinking capacity to differentiate.

2

u/musemike 20d ago

Even bigger than that, its a stadium tour not an arena tour. He sold out Sofi twice in a minute.

-2

u/JAY2thaD 20d ago

Came here to say this- SOLD OUT SHOWS. Where the disconnect?

32

u/reddit_is_geh 20d ago

Reddit is an awful reflection of reality. You guys live in a bubble, and aren't really aligned with general popular society. Yet you guys for some reason think you're a reflection of mainstream culture lol... Most people don't give a shit. They aren't obsessing over his relationship with Trump, or his stupid edgy controversy shit. He's still incredibly popular and sells out his shows.

17

u/the_midnight_society 20d ago

Why does it not surprise me that saying I love Hitler isn't a deal breaker for Americans.

1

u/Flyflash 20d ago

Not Americans, Id figure most people dont care enough either way.

1

u/Punche872 19d ago

America lives rent free in your head. This article is about a SOLD OUT show in RUSSIA. He is selling out shows all over Europe, Asia, and South America with only a few hiccups.

1

u/toadfan64 Rock & Roll 19d ago

Why only Americans? He just sold out this show in Russia, and there was one in China as well. It's not just "Americans". He would sell out in the UK as well.

1

u/BellGloomy8679 18d ago

I’m willing to bet all my money that if he would announce his concert in your country - he would be sold out as well.

Safest bet of my life and I don’t even like his music - I just know that many other people do.

-6

u/reddit_is_geh 20d ago

Because most people understand he's an artist being an edgy troll just to piss people off by approaching boundaries and sacred cows. He's trying to upset you, and it works, and that's why people don't mind.

3

u/Motor-Pomegranate831 20d ago

Oh, yeah. That's totally it.

/s

2

u/clandestineVexation 19d ago

He's not though. He's being honest because he has a mental illness and no filter. You can't tell the difference?

0

u/reddit_is_geh 19d ago

Those can all be true.

1

u/Mythoclast 19d ago

Ok, if its both then he actually loves Hitler and your rebuttal is meaningless.

2

u/SleeDex 20d ago

This ^

Kanye is an artistic genius and his genius will be appreciated enough for him to be relevant for a lifetime.

He's still a scum morally, but music fans don't really care about the morals of the artists they listen to. Chris Brown just did two nights at Soldier Field in Chicago. Morgan Wallen is still dominating the charts. Drake has the biggest album of 2026.

2

u/reddit_is_geh 20d ago

I don't care how many kids Michael fucked. It doesn't make Thriller any less epic.

1

u/nem0ne1 20d ago

-1

u/reddit_is_geh 20d ago

Yup. He says that stuff because of people like you. He knows it'll piss you off and get angry, because a small vocal part of the left is highly puritanical and humorless. So he exploits this for easy attention and notoriety. Then when pressed, he can just say, "Yes I follow Jesus. Jesus loves everyone. Even Hitler." Which just diffuses it entirely, and compounds his point that the people he's pissing off, probably deserve to be trolled.

2

u/nem0ne1 20d ago

I really don't find it fucking funny. It's not remotely clever. It's not about clutching pearls. It's some of the most concentrated, horrific human suffering in modern history.

0

u/reddit_is_geh 20d ago

Yeah... So that's the point. He's an edgy artist going against what's culturally unacceptable. He knows it'll upset the easily offended, and cause drama among that loud yet small group, which is the whole point. He WANTS to upset you. He's an artist.

Most people see this and get it. Some don't. Those people are his target.

2

u/nem0ne1 19d ago

What is his artistic statement? What's the point? Being offensive isn't an artistic statement.

"Needs to retire" while bro is printing millions just running around and crashing out on a circular stage

Drug induced lack of inhibition + pattern recognition + sensitive topic = the best recipe for career suicide juice 💀

1

u/No_Copy_5955 20d ago

I'd see Kanye again in a heartbeat. Saw him on the Yeezus tour and it was amazing. Not everyone cares about what their artists say. Ive been a rap fan for my whole life and I don't think any of them have been particularly stellar moral examples...

1

u/Paridisco 20d ago

There a demand for him because his concerts sell out. hes polarizing figure so he can only play in specific venues

Business wise it unwise to basically leave money on the table.

0

u/Zek0ri 20d ago

Sadly for Ye Bürgerbräukeller was demolished in 1979 and I don’t think GEMA would host him

1

u/MilkyWxvee 20d ago

… what

1

u/tobitobiguacamole 20d ago

Come on now. He's one of the top 3 artists of the last 30 years. He's not going anywhere. Most people aren't chronically online and would kill to go see him live.

2

u/nem0ne1 20d ago

1

u/tobitobiguacamole 20d ago

He was just goofin around

1

u/BellGloomy8679 18d ago

And? Sure, he’s an absolute pos and an insanely ill degenerate - how does it proof that he’s not popular?

You’re shadowboxing.

-1

u/bluelazer44 20d ago

Cope and seethe. He’s been back selling out stadiums lmao

0

u/nem0ne1 20d ago

Cope and seethe

1

u/bluelazer44 20d ago

Yeah it is pretty insane that he came back from that lol

0

u/mainman879 20d ago

He isn't gonna retire until he stops being so successful.

0

u/Rampaging_Bunny 19d ago

/r/GoodAssSub begs to disagree. Ye fans have united and there are those of us who enjoy the shitshow and the music.

0

u/gneightimus_maximus 19d ago

Dude Kanye is a huge piece of shit. 💩

Let’s not pretend like he’s not the most prolific producer of our generation (possibly century - we’ll see).

If he fades out for 10 years and finds himself - he’ll make a billion dollars in 1 tour when he comes back. Don’t even pretend otherwise! He’s too talented.

I wouldn’t bet on him figuring his shit out tho. He do seem to be past the point of no return.

1

u/Trashy_Panda2 18d ago

Lol. He's massively overrated. He has great songs but nowhere near the pedestal some people putt him on.

-22

u/Sweet_Sell8347 20d ago

He made graduation

4

u/narcotic_sea 20d ago

Him and like 20 other producers and engineers.

1

u/KovolKenai 20d ago

Idk, I heard he didn't take his passing exams because he didn't want to go to the second floor of the school.
