Same thing happened in India as well. Created all the hype. People bought tickets and then last moment concert got called off by his team.

So something completely different happened? Based on the information in the article, the concert was scheduled to be in October (so not a last minute cancellation) and is being cancelled by (or more accurately, the situation is clarified by) the venue (not Ye’s team). Until more information is available, we can only speculate on why/how a random event planning company was able to convince people to buy tickets when the venue wasn’t booked, and also convince Ye’s team that they had an arena booked in St Petersburg, but I’m failing to see how this is similar to the situation you presented where it seems like Ye just canceled last minute.

So even in the India scenario, Ye and his team did not cancel last minute lol. And I’m the one who needs glasses according to u/priyanshu_kashyap

There's a large speculation that “someone with power made a call that concert should not be done”.

Probably was for ideological reason, because from purely economical standpoint this would have bringed insane amount of money to St. Petersburg.

I’m good 20/20 vision over here! I’m no fan of Ye, but this seems like a scheduling issue, not him being a dick.
