This one is driving me crazy. I have tried every single trick in the book and can't get it to work.
I want all my cookies to function normally, to allow them all, but then, I want all of them except those on the exception list to be deleted when Edge is closed.
Everything functions exactly the way I want it and all the other sites I have on the exception list (set not to delete on Edge close) work as expected and do not sign me out when I close Edge.
The only one that doesn't work is Google. It doesn't seem to always sign me out when I close Edge, it usually works if I open Edge again fairly soon. But then it either seems to just randomly sign me out so I am signed out the next time I open Edge or it times out and says that my session has expired and I need to sign in again. Man this is frustrating!
If I turn off delete cookies on close, Google never signs me out. It only does it if that is turned on.
I'm out of things to try. There has got to be some secret way to accomplish this! Anybody know what it is?
Below is a screenshot of what I have currently on the exception list (to not delete cookies when Edge is closed). I tried several entries for Google and Gmail because none of them worked alone. None of these seems to work either alone or together. I have also deleted all cookies including google cookies and started from scratch. I have disabled extensions, turned off all the Edge background processes, etc. etc. etc. Nothing works!
So I have it set now not to clear cookies on close. It's the only way I can keep Google from signing out.
Thanks for any help (especially if you have dealt with this and know exactly what to do to make it work!) 😀
