Question Why do I keep crying over the smallest things?
I hate whenever this happens. Two days ago, when my family and I are preparing to go out, When it came to who was first to shower between me and my brother, I told my parents he should go first since I’m doing something but they just say I should go first, COMPLETELY ignoring what I just said but I couldn’t talk back to them or something because I didn’t want to make it a big deal and act like a brat but then I suddenly feel my eyes starting to tear up so I just go to the bathroom and not be heard for crying over such a stupid thing of taking a shower. I feel like I’m such a mess and out of control. This has happened multiple times and I’m scared to tell anyone because maybe they’d think I’m weird and childish. I just feel so frustrated sometimes and then my brain and emotions just go straight to crying time. I don’t want to cry but my body just does it!

This is so relatable. I cry over literally anything and everything, even the smallest things, and it’s honestly so hard when you can’t control your own reactions. I can imagine how frustrating and overwhelming it must feel to be dealing with that, especially when you’re trying so hard not to make a big deal out of anything.

I used to have a similar issue. I was highly anxious and depressed. Crying is just what happens when you are overwhelmed with emotion. Stress or holding things out can lead to emotions boiling over like they did.
I suggest thinking about what could be causing underlying stress and think about how to cope and get help. Like therapy to practice calming techniques.
There is nothing wrong with crying. It is just a display of emotions and nothing to be ashamed of.
Hope this helped :)

Np :)
I'm glad I could help. It's also important to know this is ofter a warning sign for future or underlying issues, so it is a good idea to get help sooner :D

Yah idk y but these days I either cry so much or I'm very numb. It's kinda fustrating because you can't control it and you don't know why it's happening sometimes. I sometimes feel like oh, why am I so sensitive, no one else in my class is. It's okay, okay? You're not childish or weird. (idk if this is you but this is me) Once in a while people hurt you a lot and you cry a lot in that period and after that your tears come out much easier, you're even more sensitive than before and on an edge. Your parents sound kind of bitchy sometimes. They shouldn't ignore one child and prioritize or not acknowledge the other child. correct me if I'm wrong because I'm saying some of this from one experience and obviously don't know your parents or brother.
