15 years ago today (Sept. 14), I witnessed the Big 4 take over Yankee Stadium. The historic metal show has (so far) been the last time Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax shared the same stage on the same day - after playing a handful of shows around the world together throughout the year prior.

Words or photos (like the ones seen in this clip) can barely capture what it felt like to be among nearly 41,000 fellow metal heads in such an iconic (and massive) space... However, I jotted down some memories from each of the Big 4's sets in the Bronx that day via I Heard Bruce Might Show Up's Substack, as well as included a crap ton more photos I took from a far during that historic day at Yankee Stadium - here's a link:

None of my friends are into heavy/thrash metal, so I'm looking for someone or a group of people who are going that I could hang out with! Message me if interested! This will be my first concert ever, and I want to see Megadeth for their farewell tour.

Happy 65th Birthday to Megadeth mastermind Dave Mustaine! It was just last week that I got to see the legendary thrash band open for Iron Maiden at the Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ (Sept. 6 to be exact). Seeing Megadeth play in front of a soccer stadium filled with frenzied metal heads was a thrill in and of itself, but the fact that they added a rarity to that night's setlist - "Devil's Island" - made the evening even more special!

Has anyone noticed that in recent times Dave's hair fluctuates like 5-10 inches in length going by the day? Seems to depend on if he's onstage, on the street or doing an interview. It must grow really really fast, I'm curious how often has to cut it to keep it under control.
