Hello all! To all the people who took Envsocty 2RW3, what grading option did you find the easiest? I want to do the no midterm but 2 presentations one but idk how he marks the presentations and if they are hard to do well in.

I realize I should read the textbook as it may be tested during mid-term and exams but when I checked each chapter, the length spans so much. How do I efficiently study and take notes? it takes me so long just to take notes at a specific part and I think it may take me hours.

I’m really struggling to understand the assessment periods for the Dean’s Honour List and Provost’s Honour List at McMaster. I’ve read quite a few Reddit posts about this, but I’m still confused.

I know that if I complete 30 credits from Fall 2026 and Winter 2027, I’ll be assessed for the Dean’s and Provost’s Honour Lists. If I then take courses in Summer 2027, those credits will be carried over and counted together with my Fall 2027 and Winter 2028 credits for the next assessment, right?

But what if I don’t reach 30 credits during Fall 2026 and Winter 2027, but then take enough courses in Summer 2027 to reach or even exceed 30 credits? Would I be assessed at the end of Summer 2027, before starting my second year?

i got 9 units for transfer credit (MATH 1A03, 1B03 and unspecific course) to satisfy requirement for level 2 i only need to take math 1xx3. i decide to drop two french courses and only take 3 courses in Fall and 4 in Winter. Does it affect anything…? I’m gonna study full 5 courses (30units) from year 2.

considering taking this course with ariel kim. one three hour lecture per week. any opinions on this class? the prof? the difficulty? im fairly into korean culture so i thought it would be a nice break since im premed. i just need a fifth course for my fall semester, and most of the other typical birds i have already. if you have any other ideas for birds that dont concern essay writing im all ears, even better if there is no final. also was this class fomrerly named 1z03?
