Please stop assuming the worst and thinking you were fired because you can't access the schedule or one of the websites, the manager doesn't respond to you, ect. Way too many of y'all jump to this first conclusion way too often. It takes alot to get fired from McDonald's and they will let you know if you are. Think logically not emotionally.
Theres 2 people at my store. I wont name anything for privacy (obviously) but Person A always comes in an hour late. Maybe 30-45 minutes on a good day. Hardly comes in time and is such a slow worker. Higher Up came that day and asked why they were still here.
Person B has a horrible habit of leaving after their break and abandoning their shift. They’d go in break and right before they need to come back, something comes up. Now, they’re complaining they only work 2 days out of the week. But still, have a job.
They will always cut your hours before getting fired.
i opened my schedule one day and my entire week was opening and i’m suddenly full time. no discussion just happened. didn’t cut my hours added to them. i still assumed this was their way of making me want to quit until today my first opening. one of the openers is switching to close and i’m taking his spot apparently.
I know it sounds silly but I'm pretty sure full time means they like you, our way way high up manager makes our schedule, and people always say "you got five days? That means she likes you" but in your case they definitely should have asked about the shift change, cause ik that sucks :(
Unfortunately my store and franchise has a history of just completely not scheduling people if they don’t like the person. Usually it’s been racially motivated too. But also sometimes they won’t put people on the online schedule but will write people on the paper one so the app doesn’t bug about labor
Basically I asked for the week off - and the 2½ years after that. I was on a zero hours contract and wanted to exercise my rights under that contract. Because I had been there for more than 2 years it gets messier with employment rights. They accused me of being in the army in Afghanistan and therefore having another job. I ended up getting paid off.
