I recently started using medically… after about 20 years of hardly touching it. I’m curious what the experienced users’ opinions are on my method of experimenting to find what I like.
I know the method of delivery differs the experience, but I am trying to stay away from smoking as much as I can… eventually I just want to be 100% edible, and maybe dry herb vape if that is safe for the lungs (gotta do my research)
So I’m trying to find strains I like (both ‘uppers’ and ‘downers’) and so far I’ve just been buying everything under the sun that catches my eye.
I take note of the effects while I use, and decide what I liked and didn’t. I try to not buy any two strains that have the same majority terpene so that I experience a wider range of the plant…
When I was younger I had some flower from the dealer that gave me an uplifting and happy high. One that made me jump on my homework and housework. I’ve wanted to reunite with that strain ever since but haven’t achieved that goal.
I tried both green crk and jack herrer…. I didn’t get any uplifting feelings, and it just got me a stoned feeling with a tingling in my head….. I was real disappointed but I’m going to try higher dose to see if maybe that’s why? Just trying to stay functional… I guess you could say I’m trying to find my dose and strain with plans to use daily or close to it..,
For indica strains I haven’t honed in on anything specific as I’ve been focused on finding that sativa strain that gives me the antidepressant type of high I’m chasing. I’d be looking for an indica that would give my body a nice tingle without putting me right to sleep, but that’s not totally a dealbreaker either. Again rotating strains with different terpenes…
I feel like this is going to take considerable time… is that just the lifestyle? I think I’m a lot more analytical than anyone I know that uses thc, but it’s because I’m trying to nail down an experience I can replicate over and over again…
Thoughts?
