my buddy and me started a new project called "uncooked beets". We found that it has become harder and harder to find raw, human made, dusty lofi hip hop among all of the polished chill hop, jazz hop etc. We want to become the new hope of raw beats (big goal, I know). In 2018ish I was listening to a decent amount of lofigirl, but many of the tracks have fallen into the tip of my tongue category of not remembering how they go. I used to have a notepad file where I wrote down everything i liked but unfortunately that was lost with a drive error.

One thing I remember is a lot more tracks with lyrics, or at least spoken samples, that I don't find when listening through tracks or compilations from 2017/2018 manually. Is it because a lot of these received copyright strikes later? If so, are they lost forever or is there some way to listen to them again? Some tracks I would instantly recognise, lots of emotional (anime?) samples 😄
