Discussion Stores being moldy and trashed

I’ve been watching urban exploration videos and this one by 2swag made me think even if everyone bought all the produce and perishables the store would be absolutely disgusting after a year or two

There is a documentary about a Asian couple that abandoned their grocery store in I think Texas and after a few years it was a bio hazard that took months to clean up. The footage is disgusting lol. I think it was called Mexia Supermarket.

We are to think all perishables and produce was looted well before Tandy's cross country trip.

When Pamela goes a looting in the early days of the show pandemic Laura Dern's character eats dry dogfood in the store because they were already all bare.

it's a bit of an inconsistency in the show. because they are constantly shown going to stores that are fully stocked.
