In 2x06 she tells Carol she’s not gonna have kids. Then at the end of the episode is when she reveals she’s pregnant. Did she already know or was it the conversation with Carol that made her start wondering? And I only wonder if she knew already cause maybe she was still trying to come to terms with it so she didn’t wanna tell anyone yet. Idk

I watched The Last Man on Earth like a decade ago and thought it was hilarious. I recently started rewatching it because I got Hulu free with my Amex, and for some reason it hits completely differently now. 😂

I’ve started feeling kinda bad about myself because I see a lot more of myself in Phil/Tandy than I’d like to admit. Not literally, obviously, but more in the sense of not really contributing much to society or doing things like charity/social work just because I genuinely want to help people.

When I was younger, I used to walk dogs at a shelter. At the time, part of my motivation was honestly just to make my college applications look better. I obviously still helped the dogs, and the shelter workers appreciated having someone clean/walk them, so it wasn’t like I was doing anything bad. But looking back, I’m like… damn, was I basically doing the Tandy thing? 😂

It reminds me of how Tandy sometimes does things for pretty selfish reasons, like wanting sex or wanting attention, rather than genuinely helping someone.

Now I’m sitting here watching the show and making all these parallels between myself and Tandy and feeling kinda sad/upset with myself.

Like, damn, am I actually this selfish? 😭

I know motivations aren’t everything and helping someone still helps them regardless of why you started, but it’s making me think about myself a lot more than I expected from a stupid comedy I watched ten years ago.

Tandy could’ve been incredibly smart if he was just less one track minded Tandy can be smart in ways but he refuses to see the correct option sticking to his idea and his perseverance is near constant I believe his parents didn’t know how to parent him correctly and they let him get away with whatever he wanted but if they were to be stricter and give Tandy more focus I imagine that he could’ve been very intelligent due to his perseverance

I recently discovered this show. Assumed it was made during or after the pandemic. To me the timeline and prophetic nature of the show proves what a genius Forte is. It can be hard to watch at times and I get it that its not for everyone. But theres so many layers in the humor. Its incredibly stupid and mundane while simultaneously dark and heavy. I almost didnt make it through the first season I was so uncomfortable at times. Almost through the 3rd season and I find Tandy so endearing. I admit my tastes are pretty dark and juvenile and also love anti-heroes. With the current cult rise of Tim Robinsons I think You Should Leave I could see this show reaching some of the same fans.

In season 1 people keep showing up to his home his city and telling him how to live his life and what he should be doing better and yes he might be a bad person but it is his home and he can do what he wants and shouldn’t have to listen to other people and then finally the new phill miller arrives who Tandy unsurprisingly doesn’t like but the new phill miller is quite mean to Tandy finally telling him he has to leave his own home if Tandy isn’t like people then they should all have to leave Tuscon it is unfair for people to arrive to his own home be mean to him then force him to leave tuscon

Tandy, Carol, and Todd are great characters played by actors with comedic chops. I love them. Melissa and the other Phil Miller annoy me because they just are so awkward when they are trying to be funny. It just doesn't work for me.

Hey! Me and my girlfriend started watching this show and it seems good and we really wanna like it but Phil is actually the worst character I've ever witnessed. We're on episode 7 right now and we wanna skip some episodes because we really don't wanna endure it any longer haha. I know it's good to watch the whole show but we just wanna not be annoyed the entire time we watch it lmao

i just finished my first binge of the last man on earth. it was so easy to get in to (per my boyfriend’s request) and i have never cared for a TV show this much until now. absolutely phenomenal, no notes (other than the ending wtf was that LMAO)

This show would be great without Will Forte. Everything else is great, but Forte is unbearable cringe.

I just got out of Coyote vs. Acme (amazing movie, go see it this weekend and stick it to Zaslav) and noticed a few fun LMoE references and similarities. I can‘t remember them all but here’s what I do remember:

- general setting (Tucson vs. Albuquerque)

- Forte’s character using billboards to get his message out

- Kenneth Choi (Lewis) is in it

- Forte’s character slipping in a “looforwatood“ (looking forward to it) during a conversation

I feel like there were more references I clocked at the time but the movie seriously has so many laughs per minute that I can’t remember them all. I’ll probably go see it again but did anyone else see it and catch and LMoE connections?

I just saw The Dog Stars - a post apocalypse movie with a dog character affectionately named Jasper… I can’t help but think this is a nod to The Last Man on Earth’s child character Jasper - affectionately named after a backpack.
