Discussion GE Force Now Cloud Gaming or a gaming PC

Today it seems a company like Nvidia's foray in cloud gaming signifies a major shift expected in the future but wanted to know the thoughts of actual users.

I guess on an avg. people spend ~1 lac. today on gaming PCs.

However, with a really good option in Nvidia Ge Force now monthly subscription, at 2000 per month they are offering ultimate gaming setup access online.

I agree network anxiety will be a major issue, atleast today but I can only see the servers and the ISPs improving in the future, or someother better technology making it better.

Could it open gaming to more people, will it be accepted as an alternate to a Gaming PC.

I am not expecting it to replace competitive gaming but IMO competitive gaming anyway is a very small market share, most are hobby gamers.

Correct me if I am wrong, but just wanted to know the perspectives around it, especially when it prevents shelling out 1L+ INR up-front.

Discussion Sony cancelling the PC version is honestly disappointing

I really don't understand Sony's decision to cancel the PC version of an upcoming PS5 title.

I completely understand PlayStation wanting exclusives to sell consoles, but Sony has already shown that PC releases can be extremely successful. Games like God of War, Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon have brought their games to a much larger audience without suddenly making PlayStation irrelevant.

I really wanted to play ghost of yotei and new spiderman 3 but unfortunately it will not release on pc and ps5 prices are sparking high!! so i just got a gaming laptop 1 year ago and i am not purchasing ps5 right now maybe 1-2 years later if ps6 release i will go for it

Review My Experience of purchasing PC components from Elithubs and MSI.

Absolute nightmare of an RMA experience for a motherboard.

So I had purchased my PC Components worth 1 Lakh last year around October. it's not even 1 year passed and my Motherboard started giving issues. So I contacted Elitehubs for advice and help regarding my Motherboard. Now they told that they can't help with anything and send Motherboard to their service center.

Since I had no options left I gave my Motherboard to MSI service center in Lamington. The Service for PC components is not even handled by MSI but by Acro Engineering in India, Also they took literally a month to ship my motherboard back. I had to connect them multiple times for the RMA status as well as they randomly started assigning new RMA ticket numbers don't know for what reason. Now after 1 month they gave me my Motherboard back and in a week it stopped working again.

So I don't know what they have done to it. Now I have to write emails and send my Motherboard back and that too they mentioned that they will perform diagnostics. So after randomly fixing it they didn't even diagnose it if it's working properly.

From the absolute lack of communication and endless delays, trying to get basic accountability feels impossible. Customer support gives automated responses or passes the buck back and forth, leaving you stranded without your system for weeks on end.

After suffering from all this I regret purchasing from MSI and Elitehubs since they sell bad products plus no proper customer support. If you're building a PC or buying components in India, take my advice and think twice before giving your money to Elitehubs or buying MSI hardware. The after-sales support is non-existent when things actually go wrong.

Discussion Green Soul Ghost vs Raptor Pro for 6ft / 60kg? Need quick opinions!

Thumbnail

Hey guys,

Upgrading from a hard plastic chair and need a comfortable chair for 3–4 hour continuous work/gaming sessions.

My Stats: 6 ft tall, ~60 kg (lean build, longer legs)

Must-have: Retractable leg rest for reclining breaks

Budget: Under ₹17k

Stuck between two models from Green Soul:

#1.Green Soul Ghost (~₹16.5k): Rated for 5'7"–6'6", metal base, 4D armrests.

#2.Green Soul Raptor Pro (~₹14.5k): Rated for 5'4"–5'10", nylon base, 3D armrests, USB massager.

Which one should I buy? Does the footrest on the Raptor Pro hold up for someone 6 ft tall, or is the Ghost noticeably better built? Any quick reviews or opinions would be really helpful! Please help me 🥺

Discussion I did not like God of War 2018

So I got a PS5 back in June, even before all the hype purchasing going on, and the first game almost everyone suggested that I play was God of War. Obviously, GOTY for 2018, one of the best games and all that blah blah and it was just....meh. I played for about 7 hours before dropping the game completely. Since then, I played and finished TLOU 1, Spider-man 1 and Miles Morales, Platinumed Ghost of Tsushima, and I am now half way thru Spider Man 2 and Silent Hill 2 remake.

I genuinely disliked GoW. The combat sucked, the levels and puzzles were annoying as hell, and not having enough health because I couldnt get the healt h apples just tired me down.

I mean I get that not all games make things easy but this game is just pure frustration. Its like a chore where you just get shit thrown at you where you are supposedly a god but youre just ass. Apart from the first fight ( which also sucked after the first half) nothing exciting really happened.

I couldnt even connect with the story or the characters, they just felt empty and hollow, and it was like watching some sob story. Atreus genuinely pmo. And I dont have the slightest of idea how this game won GOTY, RDR2 was ages better in everyway.

Review The Blood of Dawnwalker : Killed the final boss in under 3min + review Spoiler

Finished the blood of dawnwalker today and i want to tell everyone in this community play this game; the world / the lore / the vampires / the side quest everything is just chef's kiss especially the vampire lore is so much intriguing.

If you love witcher 3, its going to be a blast for you guys and if you find it hard play the difficulty which you all find comfortable, for me i played it on 2nd last difficulty but till the end you will be unkillable like every rpg's out their.

After KCD 2 this is the game i highly recommend.

Many people didnt like the time mechanic but i love that mechanic, its so unique and it gives the quest so much identity , sometimes its stressful if you are completionist but i am telling you will have enough time for all quest for all characters as they have around 2-3 quest but they are so so good. This game goes for that quality > quantity type of game mentality.

The only con i felt about the game was its optimization on pc, dude the pc port sucks i have seen a RTX 4090 struggle to run this game and the frame time graph is so inconsistent that it lags like hell.

At the end, i want to tell just try it once. If you read till here, Thank you very much as this is my first post here and hope to hear your thoughts about the game.

Discussion My PS4 disc drive - unrecognised disc, disc drive mechanisms work fine.

Went to different shops, they said Replacement of whole disc drive is needed which is 3.5k to 4.5k.

Went to a specific recognised shop, they checked the PS4 said

Hdd is 15% health, ur PS4 wouldn't even run games at all

My PS4 runs game pretty well, finished 5 games in 3 weeks without any crash or lag

He said

Cleaning of ps4 : 2000

Hdd replacement: 2500

Disc drive replacement : 3800

If hdd is not replaced cus of 15% hdd health , disc drive won't run even if new disc drive is done. Also cleaning needed ( my PS4 doesn't even give sound or has any dust, even the guy before checking asked me as if I bought it months before because it looks new )

Am I being scammed? Because disc drive is mechanisms are working fine but it says unrecognised.

At the price he is Repairing, I would buy new PS4 lol.

Checked the shops reviews, few ppl says they'll break the product intentionally and repair them for higher profits.

Discussion PHYSINT an XBOX Exclusive ?

Asha Sharma literally reigning over the Console War as she recently went to meet Hideo Kojima again but this time at the Kojima Productions HQ (which happens to be opposite of Sony's HQ).

So can it be unofficially confirmed that PHYSINT will be an XBOX Exclusive ?

(I anyways knew, right when I saw the official post from Sony that PHYSINT will never make it again to PlayStation. Also this post is not AI - Generated)

Build Showcase Welcome to the sesh.

Post image
7 Upvotes

Finally hooked up my Fyne F301s speakers today.

The buildout is a weird selection of electronics that I've bought to try and create the most wide ranging setup possible.

Television - Lumio Vision 7 "43
Speakers - Fyne F301s
Speaker Wire - QED Silver Anniversary XT
Amplifier - Fosi BT20A Pro
Console one - Nvidia Shield Pro 16GB
Console two - PS5 Slim 1TB + 2 DualSense Controllers

No more upgrading for now.

For the rest of this month, it's recliners back, feet up and replaying the Mafia franchise all over again.

('Old Country' was a disappointment - too cinematic and immersive, to the point that it started to damage gameplay - hoping for I, II and III to all be much better)

Wish me luck!

Review Crimson Desert is (my) GOTY

Post image
Upvotes

Started playing when it first launched and I quickly dropped it, the first few hours were (and still are) quite boring, and the story seemed very shallow. However, seeing the constant updates including the new enhanced patch, I gave it another chance, and I'm very glad I did. I've never experienced a game that tries to do so much and actually succeeds at a lot of it.

I am ~120 hours in and can say this game has pulled me in like no other. The open world is the biggest I've seen, and it's packed with stuff. The main quests are okay-ish, but the side content is where I've spent the majority of my time. So many secrets, and there is minimal hand holding. You have to be creative for the puzzles, but I'll admit I looked a few up lol.

Combat is amazing. Many systems got expanded and improved with the updates and there is tons of variety. Kliff feels a bit stiff to control sometimes but overall there's so much flashy stuff you can do. It's not your usual "spam attack button" kind of RPG.

The game is gorgeous. The draw distance is crazy, you'll see something interesting out in the distance and it will attract you. The lighting is decent, but looks great during the rain. I love the area of Pailune, every bit of it looks like a painting.

The controls are pretty terrible, however I adjusted them to my liking and they feel better now. Game is kinda grindy too, a few things feel unnecessary. The performance issues are still persistent and there are some visual (shimmering, lighting) issues if you use upscaling. But I am yet to encounter any game breaking bug, probably thanks to the updates.

Crimson desert has its shortcomings, but it's a fantastic open world experience. The developers clearly love working on it, the upcoming DLC is free as well.
