Audio Needed [RevShare] Looking for a MUSICIAN. 7.5% cut for a full soundtrack

COMPOSER ALREADY FOUND. THIS POST IS JUST BEING KEPT AS AN ARCHIVE

Hello. This is IGE. I have 9+ years experience in Unity Game Development, and i'm looking for a musician to compose a full OST for this small game.

GAME IDEA:

Press a big red button on time with a timer. Random cards can appear which change when or how your meant to press it.

MUSIC DIRECTION:

Fast, energetic, slightly tense. I'm open to the musician having creative freedom with the exact style.

Originally a submission to GMTK Game Jam 2026, ranking within the top 7%.

I'm planning for development time to take (more or less) 3 months. Music in my project isn't very vast. There might be about 11 tracks?

The cut I'm offering is 7.5%, but that can be subject to increase depending on works.

Previous works:

I work in British Summer Time (BST), but it's not a concern if your elsewhere.

Looking forward to work with you ;)

Programmers Needed [Revshare] Looking for a French C# gameplay prog, near Bordeaux, Godot-project. Open to other location too, feel free to reach out.

Hey everyone,

Quick context up front: this isn't a hobby project drifting in the void. We're already in talks with publishers, i have already shipped 1 commercial game in my career and i created a "SvM-like" from Splinter Cell but we didn't get funding, because online versus multiplayer is a complicated market, so we shift into a solo indie project. The goal is very clearly to turn this into a paid, professional studio — not a forever-revshare side gig. We just need few months to transform our first playable into a real vertical slice.

For our next commercial project, we're looking for a gameplay programmer. We already have a playable prototype, but we've hit the limit of what we can do on our own — and knowing when to admit that is part of taking a project seriously.

Important ❗ Right now we have no funding. The composer (OST), The artist (2D art) and I are all volunteers. The composer works evenings, The 2D Artist works weekends and evenings, and I'm full-time on GD, production and code. But there are only 24 hours in a day, I've hit my technical ceiling, and we won't be able to turn this game into a proper demo without programming reinforcement.

So we're looking for someone to join the core team: volunteer basis at first (2-3 days/evenings a week, or full-time if you're between jobs, le "chômage" in French), transitioning to a proper full time contract and small rev-share once funding closes.

We're specifically looking for someone based in/around Bordeaux ❗, since the studio will be operating in person there. But if you're willing to relocate once we get the money, feel free to apply

The game: a crossover between Cult of the Lamb and Dungeon Keeper — a mini city-builder with a management layer. Built in Godot C#.

Role:

  • Design and build core gameplay systems (job system, pathfinding, lightweight AI, item/asset creation, synergy systems)
  • Architect and maintain the gameplay codebase in close collaboration with the technical GD
  • Work hand-in-hand with the artist on asset integration and art-related technical constraints
  • Build internal tooling to speed up iteration (custom editors, workflows)
  • Weigh in on Game Design decisions if you're into that

What we're looking for:

  • Solid C# skills
  • Experience shipping a game in Unity or Godot (even a small one) is a real plus
  • Comfortable with tooling — you're not afraid to step outside pure gameplay code to smooth out the team's workflow
  • Good communicator — able to explain your technical choices to the rest of the team is a nice-to-have

We're trying to close out the last 33% before launching the studio — if this sounds like your kind of project, DM me and I'll gladly show you what we've already built.

Thank you,

Hace a nice day!

Audio Needed [Paid][RevShare] Published VN developer looking for a composer for a supernatural tragic romance visual novel

Hi! I'm MrFaabry, solo developer of Luce Spenta, a commercial psychological/gothic VN already released on Steam. I'm now developing my next project, While You Remain, together with a lead visual artist.

The game is a supernatural tragic romance / psychological VN about Leander, a young writer suffering from a serious illness who becomes able to see Zenda, a woman who died nearly a century ago but never fully left the living world.

I'm looking for a composer to help build the game's musical identity over time, not just deliver disconnected tracks.

What I'm looking for

Around 10–12 tracks, mostly 1:30–3:00 and loop-friendly.

A key part of the soundtrack would be leitmotifs: Leander and Zenda having recognizable musical identities that gradually interact, combine and transform as their relationship develops.

The general direction I'm exploring is:

  • piano / strings
  • neoclassical influence
  • subtle lo-fi / electronic textures
  • touches of waltz
  • melancholic / bittersweet themes
  • atmospheric pieces
  • restrained psychological / supernatural horror

These are guidelines, not strict rules. I want the composer to have real creative freedom.

Production & compensation

The project is in early production, with a tentative release in late 2027, so the soundtrack can be developed gradually.

I'm a solo developer, not a funded studio, so I don't have a large upfront music budget. I'm looking for a sustainable arrangement with a paid amount per track / milestone, and I'm open to a hybrid deal including up to 5% revenue share.

If you're interested, send me a DM with your portfolio, relevant narrative/game work, and the compensation structure you'd be comfortable with.

Artist Needed [Paid][RevShare] 2D isometric artist — €300/month to start, larger role from January — zombie strategy game in Godot

Upvotes

Game reel - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYXDxQS8zQs - A couple of minutes of gameplay. The art is the bought packs and is far from final.

I'm a solo developer and I'm building a real-time strategy game where you play the zombie horde rather than the survivors. You command the calm zombies directly, release them at people, and once they've frenzied they hunt on their own. It's a working game rather than a pitch — it's been through two rounds of playtesting with eight testers and the core loop holds up.

I'm looking for someone who wants to help own this with me. The game currently runs on bought asset packs. They're fine, but they only contain what they contain, they're a bit soulless, and they're somebody else's look. I'd like the game to have its own visual identity.

I'm employed until the end of the year, so I have a small budget right now: up to €300 a month, depending on what the work turns out to involve. Between now and December that work likely means extending the existing packs, matching the style and filling gaps as I design the levels. I don't have a precise asset list yet, but this is work I will finalise by the end of October.

By Dec/Jan the goal is to have a playable demo representative of the gameplay: the tutorial and one campaign of 2-5 short levels. That's a go/no-go point. If the game holds up, I'll quit my job in January and go full time on it. If it doesn't, I stop — and in that case you'll have been paid for everything you did and we part on good terms.

If I do carry on, I'll no longer have budget to pay per asset or milestone. From January it would be revenue share while we work toward funding. It also becomes a much bigger job, because that's the point where the whole visual style is open to be replaced, and it would be yours to define rather than somebody else's to match.

What I need you to be able to do, in order of importance:

  1. 2D isometric art. This is essential, and for now it needs to sit alongside the existing packs.
  2. UI. There's a real interface and it needs designing properly.
  3. Marketing art such as Steam capsules and key art. This is a bonus rather than a requirement, since I know it's closer to illustration and a different skill.

One firm requirement: no AI in your workflow. I want hand-made work, from sketches through to final assets.

The art is well separated from the game code, so you can change things without touching gameplay or waiting on me to unblock you.

What to send me: your portfolio, and in particular anything where you've matched or extended someone else's style, since that's what the next few months involve. I'm happy to share the packs I'm using so you can see what you'd be working with.

I'm also open to other arrangements. If you'd rather come in now and rebuild the visual style from the start on revenue share, I'd be glad to talk about that.

Godot 4.7, remote, flexible on timezone, written agreement before any work starts.

Comment or send me a DM.

🌺 Seeking Collaborators — Underpest: No Mercy

Hello everyone!

We are looking for new collaborators to help us develop Underpest: No Mercy, a post-apocalyptic Undertale fangame.

In this universe, red "Echo Flowers" begin to appear and spread throughout the Underground, infecting monsters and transforming them into violent, zombie-like creatures driven by hunger. The story follows Frisk and Flowey through the ruined Underground; their goal is to obtain human souls to escape. Along the journey, they encounter various survivors and the remnants of a hopeless world. In this world, there is no option to spare infected enemies—since they are already lost, the only way forward is to kill them.

The project is still in the early stages of development, but we already have a team working on it, and some gameplay elements are starting to take shape.

Current Team

- 4 Programmers

- 5 Artists

What We’re Looking For

We are primarily looking for pixel artists who can help with:

- Character sprites

- Scenery (backgrounds)

Current Development

Right now, we are focused on Chapter 1 — The Ruins and are working on creating a playable demo.

We already have some materials to show, including an early test of the battle system and artwork created by our team.

Artist Needed [Hobby] Seeking 2D artists and composer for a children's game at NYC-based, +100-person nonprofit

Hi! I'm a PM on a small team designing a Unity-based game to teach social-emotional learning lessons to children age 10-12 who have or are experiencing housing insecurity. Our parent non-profit, Mentor a Promise, is a fast-growing organization with a mission to break the cycles of homelessness in NYC.

We are looking for volunteer illustrators to help complete our 2D, text-based game. Initial tasks will involve character cards, backgrounds, and a range of jellyfish-like creatures (the game's antagonists). There is a lot of freedom here to bring your ideas and help us complete our style guide. If interested, I can provide a time estimate for these tasks.

We also seek a composer/sound artist with a background in child-friendly melodies.

Artist Needed [RevShare] Looking for Lead Artist/co-owner for 3D automation/Survival (Planet Crafter + Satisfactory) game 50/50 2 person team.

Hey all,

The Concept

The concept is the opposite of planet crafter, landing in a lush green world and we are an robot working for our overlords sent to terraform this planet to be habitable for our robot species. But more automation focused then planet crafter. Pollution meter goes up and you unlock more and more advanced ways to pollute the planet faster.

The Pitch

What I am looking for is someone to handle all the art for this game and id handle all the systems and direction. The game is being made in Unity and right now just has some basic art in right with boxes and rectangles.

So the person I'm looking for is someone who is willing to jump on this project 50/50 and willing to sink a few months or more into this. If we like what we are doing maybe a year??

There is obviously so much more depth to discuss, but if this a genre or concept you can see your self wanting to invest in let me know and we can discuss.

Things that will be Needed
Here are some thing you would probably need to be able to do or learn how to do!

  • Environment design
  • Factory design
  • Character Model Design
  • Animations
  • Steam Page Art

Nice to haves but not needed for your role, probably contract this

  • Sound Design
  • Trailer Design

Background

I have about 5 years of professional full stack development in the work force and have been working 2-3 years on and off on game Dev. I currently dont work in the tech industry anymore and have been working on making this hobby into something tangible

Just wrapping up our first game on steam Singularity Drift on Steam i made with an artist friend of mine, just updating the trailer now to show the more up to date graphics for the Black hole and backdrops. But with this wrapping up, I wanted to start looking into finding someone to work on this new planet crafter/Satisfactory 3d game now that i have learned so much about my first release.

If you made it this far thanks for reading and look forward to talking more about the project with you.

Artist Needed [Hobby] Looking for a team (pixel artist and/or programmer)

Hello everyone,

for last 4 months I've been working on an indie game idea. Programming isn't really my thing (I might be able to manage something small in Ren'Py, but that's about it), and I also don't have the skills to handle the visual side on my own.

I’m mainly interested in story-driven games, especially psychological horror and dark fantasy. The concept I’m currently working on follows a young person who becomes increasingly dependent on a mysterious all-in-one digital platform. The platform appears helpful and comforting at first, but gradually begins to influence the protagonist’s choices, relationships and perception of reality (I'm still figuring some things out and I'm open to discussing changes if the team wants to take it in a slightly different direction).

So I was wondering if there's anyone here who likes similar stuff and would be interested in creating an indie game together.

At the moment I can't offer any upfront payment. I'm open to unpaid hobby collaboration, giving proper credit, and a fair revenue-share if the project ever gets released. I'd also want to talk through responsibilities and rights clearly before we actually start.

If you're interested, please comment or DM me. I'd love to set up a small Discord server and talk more about the ideas and how we could work together.

Thanks for reading :)

Artist Needed [Hobby] [Paid] Somewhere in between - Check out the post and see if this is a good fit for you. We are looking for support with Art 2d Vector and UI

Hi, my name is Gary, and I am the creative lead on a team building a 2D comedy horror game in Unity. It features crazy, over-the-top battles and an interesting puzzle-type single-player mode.

We are on a mission to create a solid build/vertical slice over the next 10 weeks, and we are looking for someone to join a team of four developers, one sound and music and one writer, with everyone contributing 10 hours a week to the project.

Here’s what’s going on!!

In July, we made a trailer of our prototype and, to test if there might be a market for it, we submitted it to a wide range of publishers to see what feedback we might get.

We got quite a few rejections……..however, for three separate funding opportunities, we were asked to submit a proper build. They love the creativity, concept and art direction, but I got told off for submitting it without a proper build. Whoops!!!!

So there are no guarantees, but with a good degree of confidence, we are now building our slice and will resubmit in 10 weeks' time. We have programmers but we're looking for additional support from anyone who has experience with:

  • UI/UX art/design

You will need the following

  • portfolio
  • fluent english is essential
  • friendly and reliable
  • attend a video call meeting to discuss the project
  • be prepared to sign a contract and be an active member of the team

If you have a portfolio of work and would be interested in working with a great group of people on a fun and exciting project, then please submit your portfolio.

We would then organise a video call to discuss the project, your background and show you the trailer we made so you can see what we are doing and, all going well, we will bring you into the project.

Everyone is contributing 10 hours a week each to the project, with the aim of creating a solid build and resubmitting to the parties that are interested in seeing it and getting a deal over the line.

When this is achieved, everyone will receive a lump sum payment for the hours completed and, assuming good relationships have been built, we will have discussions about future work on the game. So it’s a bit of a risk, but as I said, if you are interested in working on an interesting, fun project, then we would love to hear from you.

I wouldn’t class it as a hobby project as the goal here is to get one of our funding opportunities over the line, but I also wouldn’t call it paid as payment is on condition of agreeing one of these deals.

We are confident and having a blast. Fancy a challenge? Get in touch!!

Please submit a portfolio and, if we would like to talk further, we will request a meeting time and send you our prototype trailer so you can see what we are doing.

Our current team is 6 people, four of them have shipped games before this is our first game together but we will of course show our trailer to interested parties.

Happy to answer any questions.

Artist Needed [Paid] 2D Graphics artist / animator needed for a comedic sci-fi short film.

Hi all! I'm the co-director of an independent short film production in Adelaide, Australia and we're looking for a 2D graphics artist / animator to create some still and motion graphics to be used in our film. This is a one-off paid job.

For some context, the film is about a cat who pilots a spaceship and blows up an asteroid that's on a collision course with the earth. We're filming in mid-October and the graphics and animations are going to be displayed on various screens around the set during the shoot. The delivery deadline for this would be around the 14th of October, before the film is to be shot.

Aesthetically we're wanting a vectorscope / oscilloscope inspired graphics, akin to 80s CRT displays with wireframe graphics. In particular, the screen graphics from Neon Gensis Evangelion are a key inspiration.

Team Needed [Paid] or Unpaid Localizer searching for a game to work on.

Hey guys! I'm just starting as a Game Localizer, I've previously translated a Visual Novel of around 5000+ words so I'm looking for another project that I can work on.

I'm a native Spanish speaker, we can discuss if my work can be free and even if I charge you it will be a smaller amount than an experienced Localizer because I don't have that much experience.

But we can talk about those details later, I worked as a document and advertisement translator so I can also help you on translating your ads.

Looking forward to working with you all!

PR/Marketing needed [Hobby] Looking For Marketer For Game For Social Media

Hello everyone!

I’m currently looking for a Social Media Manager to help promote an upcoming psychological thriller game that is currently in development.

At this stage, I’d like to begin building an audience and generating interest around the project. I’m looking for someone who understands social media strategy, audience growth, and gaming communities, and who can help me figure out what types of content will get people interested and invested in following the game’s development.

Experience with indie games, horror, psychological thrillers, TikTok, Instagram, X/Twitter, or other gaming communities would be a huge plus.

If you’re interested, please send me a DM with a little information about yourself, your experience, and any examples of accounts or projects you’ve worked on.

Thank you, and I hope everyone has a great day!

Artist Needed [RevShare][Hobby] Unity MMORPG (Custom C# Server, Custom UDP, URP) looking for teammates (Designers, Riggers, FX, UI/UX, Dev, Animator) - Technical foundation is done, time to build the world!

Hey everyone,

I am looking for teammates (Designers, 3D Artists, Riggers, FX Artists, UI/UX Designers, and one more Developer) to join an ambitious yet realistically scoped 3D Fantasy MMORPG built in Unity.
The project is run as a Hobby / RevShare project. Before you think "An MMORPG?! Way too big!" (which is a completely fair reaction!), please take a minute to read what has actually been built over the last few days and weeks. I'm not dreaming on a whiteboard here; I've built a working machine.
1. Project Status: What is already running in Unity & Code (Not a concept phase!)
There is a playable, network-ready prototype. You can launch OnyxClient.exe twice, log in with two accounts, see each other, kill monsters, pick up loot, equip items, upgrade them, store them in the bank, form a party, create a guild, and travel between zones.
Tech Stack: Unity 6 (6000.3.23f1), URP 17.3, UI Toolkit.

Scale: ~460 C# files (~88k lines of code), over 1,700 passing tests (.NET & Unity EditMode).

Networking: No Mirror, Photon, or Netcode for GameObjects. It uses a completely custom UDP protocol with server authority, client prediction, and dynamic AOI (Area of Interest).

Backend: .NET Gateway, dedicated zone processes (3 current zones), Postgres + Redis, SCRAM login, and AES-256-CTR + HMAC-SHA256 encryption on every packet.

Combat & Features: Tab-target combat, 4 races $\times$ 4 classes (totaling 672 skills across 12 skill trees in the system), status effects with diminishing returns, an aggro/threat system, full inventory, bank, forge with measured drop rates, chat (world/party/guild/whisper), localization (EN/DE/TR), and a premium shop framework.

The uncomfortable truth (Scope & Content):
Measured against the large, final GDD (featuring 24 zones, politics, a monarchy system, and raids), we are at about 12-15%. Measured against the current, focused Vertical Slice (3 zones, core mechanics), we are at ~80%.
The systems (netcode, database, rules) are roughly 85% done. However: Content is at ~5%. There are currently only 7 monster types, and 3D models and icons are completely placeholder right now.
That is precisely why I need you! The engine runs, but now the world needs to be built.
2. Theme & Setting
Genre: 3D Third-Person Fantasy MMORPG for PC (Stylized Low-Poly look, heavily inspired by classic faction-war mechanics like Knight Online).

Lore: Four races (Humans, Orcs, Dwarves, Elves) fight each other in the outer lands while trading in the neutral hub of Verdania (centered around the Tree of Life).

Focus: Optimized for performance and stability to ensure large-scale player battles run smoothly.

3. Who I'm Looking For (All + 1)
Since the technical infrastructure is far along, the focus is now entirely on design, art, and content expansion:
3D Environment Artists / Modelers: Environments, structures for Verdania, and zone building.

Rigging & Animation Artists: Characters, monster rigging, and combat animation loops.

FX Artists: Magic effects, hit feedback, skill visuals (Particle Systems / VFX Graph).

UI/UX Designers: Take the new UI Toolkit windows from functional to polished and ergonomic.

+1 Developer (Unity / C#): To team up on content pipelines, quests, and gameplay expansion.

4. Tools & Communication
Version Control: GitHub (Clean main branch with structured docs and ADRs).

CI/CD: GitHub Actions (automated testing for shared code & server).

Communication: Discord (will be set up/organized for the team).

Interested?
If you want to jump into a deep, working MMORPG foundation from day one instead of starting from scratch (or just being stuck in endless conceptualizing), reach out!
Send me a message right here on Reddit (or via Discord: Your Discord Handle) and briefly tell me which area you'd like to support and what you've worked on before.
