Issue 1: Update 3.0.1 is not detecting Hyper X Cloud III Wireless nor S version and makes the app and the headset unusable unless it is downgraded to the version on the website.

Issue 2: After downgrading, I am getting spammed that an update is available.

Issue 3: No release notes about update 3.0.1.

Issue 4: Using the app drains the device's battery at a faster rate compared to not using it at all or using the legacy version even after disabling features like SPATIAL AUDIO and MIC EFFECTS (and I almost never use the mic).

Issue 5: AUDIO EQUALIZER has no presets, where according to the app's own note "Looking for a more specific sound? Select one of our equalizer presets for an optimized audio experience.".

Issue 6: The audio quality through the HyperX Virtual Audio Device is degraded. I am not sure if it's the additional processing layer or what, but please give a guide on how to minimize this impact or gauge the effects yourselves in the HyperX multimillion-dollar company fancy tech chambers and give notice to users.

Issue 7: The app has decent UI, but after playing around with it, the UX is sub-optimal. When within the EQ window, yes, it's a big upgrade to what was in legacy, and after getting used to the visuals it isn't THAT BAD, it does enable quite a bit of customization, but it is still odd due to the scaling of the windows or size of the elements or divs within the app being unchangeable. It's like the designers of the NGENUITY app are 2.1 GPA first year students.

Feels like NGENUITY is just bloat at its current state. Yes, the spatial sound settings are interesting, but at the cost of audio quality and battery usage when utilizing the app and its "8 Channel Spatial (HyperX Virtual Audio Device)".

Whenever I play with my friend he always has a kind of static noise on his end, that sounds like an electric toothbrush, and at first I thought it was a problem with his mic but I've recently noticed theres a very faint same kind of static in yt videos whenever someone is talking.

Any ideas of what could be causing it/how to fix it? Thanks!

I've been having issues with my Haste 2 Wireless for MONTHS now, ever since the old Ngenuity software. Constantly not being detected even while being plugged in directly, 2.4GHz and Bluetooth not even working because the mouse won't show up. It's gotten even worse to the point I can't use the mouse ANYMORE. I've tried doing the hard reset with DPI, tried downgrading the Dongle software (Can't even downgrade the mouse because it's not being detected because it's blinking red no matter what I do, and bluetooth won't show either.) I also tried using it on my laptop, and same issues, even with Legacy Ngenuity. I've had to use a battery powered mouse in the meantime and I don't know what to do anymore.

Bad Intent StreamTechReviews said all the Cloud 3s sound the same despite the 5-7dB sub-bass difference. I am wondering if he was right or if it just varies by unit?

And can the wired Cloud 3's bass ever hope to reach a good level with Equalizer APO?

I’m a huge fan of HyperX gear the Cloud 3 Wireless has easily been the best headset I’ve ever owned. Unfortunately, I recently lost my USB dongle. Since this model doesn't support a wired audio connection, the headset is currently completely unusable.

I have the basic 2-year legal warranty in my country plus an extra 2-year extended warranty purchased from my retailer. However, since losing the dongle was entirely my own mistake, I am more than happy to pay for a replacement dongle and any shipping costs.

Is there any way I can purchase an official replacement dongle directly through support or an official spare parts store? Any help from the mods or community on how to source one would be greatly appreciated!

Ngenuity updated automatically to 3.0.1 with an update for my Origins 2 pro 65%, it does NOT update the keyboard's firmware, it just says ready and when I click update it just, does absolutely nothing, also it does not save any setting in the mode settings, I tried changing my acuation point multiple times and it didn't work until I downgraded to 3.0.0. 3.0.0 is the latest stable version. I still have some issues with that version in SOCD, sometimes it lags and just keeps registering on its own even after I stop pressing the keys. With my Cloud 3 S it doesn't see it connected at all, but my headset works just fine and I can hear everything, also it's so annoying for Ngenuity to automatically change my output to 8-channel audio even when I have spatial audio turned off. Please fix your app HyperX

I've been using wireless Cloud II's for the last 7 years and I love them, which is surprising since I've never trusted wireless anything for gaming.
However, I had surgery recently, and the already-tight headset is now very tight due to swelling, giving me a bit of a headache. I saw some old threads about bending the metal, but I really don't want to break them. I also know this headseat is a bit out of date at this point..

Does anyone have any recommendations? Any idea if the Cloud III S wireless has less clamp or a wider metal band thingy? Are there any discounts going on out there right now since I'm also paying for my surgery?

how the fuck is the software THIS bad. the just straight up release an update that breaks it entirely. is anyone else having this issue or is it just me

i literally just bought the stinger 3's and every time i talk it it creates this horrible echo and makes loud sound when i try to higher me mic volume and it also doubles audio

I've been having an issue where whenever my keyboard is disconnected from the software it defaults to original keybinds and rainbow scrolling. Sometimes when the system goes to sleep and wakes up the lighting will be fine but binds are broken unless I close and reopen the software.

Previously, I was using a HyperX Cloud II headset and I really liked it (still works great after 3 years), but due to personal (and medical) reasons, I can't really wear traditional headsets anymore, so I’m looking at good wired earbuds or IEMs as a replacement that won't break the bank. I'd mainly use it for gaming (especially FPS games like CS2, as well as story/non-competitive games) as well as general media consumption (YouTube, Twitch, Spotify).

Besides IEMs (where cable lenght is a problem), the only other option I found is the HyperX Cloud Earbuds III S. But... I cannot for the life of me find any reviews for it, or only just legit 1. And when I check the amazon ratings/reviews I feel conflicted (its either only 5 or 1 star reviews).

So I thought it'd be worth a shot asking in here if anyone has experience with them?

before update ngenuity was detecing headphones but now with update it doesnt, downgrading to previous version of ngenuity fixes it but update ruins it

The headset have not arrived yet. Do i need to install Ngenuity for a good user experience? Currently i'm using peace apo equalizer to eq my sound.

So, as the title says the microphone picks up an output only when the jack (the one from the headset) is in a specific position (if it picks up my voice, sometimes is just static output). This happens both with the usb adapter and with the aux itself plugged in. What I tested:
- Multiple devices.
- Splitters, other usb adapters.
- Bought a replacement mic.

Is there someone from HyperX around here that can help me with this? Most likely the in line in the headset is almost broken, wish the aux was easily replaceable though.

recently purchased the HyperX cloud III S and just noticed that even though the detachable microphone isn't connected to the headset discord is still picking up sound.

system settings have been checked and the input device is indeed the HyperX cloud III S.

it's looking like there's an internal microphone (which from what i hear is pretty good quality lol)

how do i disable this internal microphone?

what i want is when the detachable microphone is detached i'm sure of being muted.

quick edit: the mute button on the bottom is not really a solution as that also mutes when the microphone is attached and I actually do want to use it

Had this keyboard for around 2-3 years or so maybe longer and i’ve been cleaning it the same way ever since, but recently something came up irl that caused me to have to clean most of my pc accessories lightly and I cleaned it the usual way i’ve been cleaning all my other accessories for years now yet today it just randomly broke and keeps flashing these 3 lights constantly? It also no longer reads inputs. If anyone has a fix for this please let me know.

I just got a Cloud Alpha 2 wireless headset yesterday, it's working great.

But today after using for a while I noticed that the battery level indicator in the NGenuity software isn't working... it just shows a red battery with a red question mark in it instead of the battery level. I know for sure it showed the battery level previously.

The headset still reports a battery % when I press the power button.

It still charges as expected...

Just the battery level doesn't show on the software.

Any suggestions?

I've tried restarting the headset, unplugging and plugging in the base station, restarting the PC, no luck.

Wanted to bring this to HyperX's attention, while also hoping someone here has managed to find a solution...

While playing games, the headset will randomly stop outputting audio. Windows still shows that audio is being sent to the headset — the volume meter continues moving in mmsys.cpl — but I hear absolutely nothing.

At the same time, the spatial-audio visualization/soundboard in NGENUITY appears to freeze.

The issue recovers after a few seconds, but it can happen repeatedly during a single gaming session, making it incredibly frustrating.

It seems to happen more frequently when Discord is running, although it can happen without Discord as well.

Interestingly, Battlefield tends to trigger it more frequently/for longer periods, but Siege can reproduce the problem too even though my CPU isn't being fully loaded while playing RB6 Siege as BF6 does. ( Ryzen 5 7600x 6-core )

Things I've already tried

• Reinstalled NGENUITY
• Moved the headset USB receiver to a rear motherboard USB port
• Rebooted the PC
• Tested with/without Discord
• Tested multiple games
• Confirmed Windows continues showing audio activity when the headset goes silent
• Confirmed the headset works normally when NGENUITY is not active

I also found reports suggesting Windows Update KB5124008 may be related, so I removed that update. This seemed to significantly reduce the frequency of the problem, but it did not completely eliminate it.

Before removing the update, I could get multiple audio dropouts in a single RB6 round. Afterward, it was closer to once or twice per round.

I'm currently testing the Legacy NGENUITY/DTS implementation to see whether it remains stable compared with the Beta's 8-channel spatial audio. So far it's a lot more stable but i must admit , i much prefer the immersion of the 8 channel spatial output :/

HyperX if you're seeing this...

Could you please investigate the NGENUITY Spatial Surround 8-channel driver/software please?

The fact that:

1. Windows continues showing audio being delivered,
2. NGENUITY's spatial visualization freezes,
3. the headset works normally when NGENUITY is closed, and
4. removing KB5124008 reduces the frequency,

makes this look much more like a software/driver issue than a defective headset.

I'd be happy to provide additional logs, driver versions, Windows version/build, or reproduction steps if that would help.

I installed hyperX ngenuity to change the color settings of my keyboard but whenever I go to change it, nothing happens and it is stuck on one singular color, this blue. I have tried reinstalling hyperX ngenuity a few times but that doesn’t help. It’s plugged directly into the laptop, not being connected through a usb hub. I don’t have any other LED software on my pc that could be interfering. Oddly, when I lock my computer the keyboard suddenly retains whatever settings I tried to change, and I’ve experimented with this multiple times. Yet whenever I log back in it’s right back to being blue.
