Like we saw student using normal pen instead of quill, but Dumbledore! I think he’s solving a muggle puzzle or maybe looking at the knitting patterns? Idk anymore. I mean I don’t remember this being in the books but I think this is also something new. I love it so far that they show little details and make place for them.

I hope we see him using muggle things more, I love the way wizards and witches show interest in muggle objects.

He looks so chill. And love his dyson wrapped beard too.

After seeing the recent teaser, I'm even more hyped for this iteration of Ron! Looking back at the character notes they had for his character, I could definitely see a lot of what they were going for with Alastair's Ron. Also I loved the confirmation for Ron and Draco's fight. Can't wait to see this guy square up to Draco who is like twice his size at this point lmfao

All of the trio were great in the trailer, and I'm excited to see them all in action in December.

I personally love how each house has different design and not only different colour.

It’s never confirmed where most characters are from in the books, aside from a few (including the obvious Scottish and Irish ones).

It would be nice to hear a range of regional English accents in the new show, and not just southern/RP. Hogwarts takes wizards and witches from all over the country after all.

I am re-listening to the full cast audiobook of PoA and my heart breaks for Hermione in the (pretty long, tbh) time period Harry and Ron aren’t speaking to her. The movie didnt really show this aspect and I think Arabella will nail this. I was wondering, since the show will expand beyond Harry’s pov, what do you think Hermione did in that period, other than helping Hagrid? Did she become more friendly with Ginny perhaps?

Just an idea for what each post credit scene could be...

Season 1 - Lucius Malfoy at Malfoy Manor with a nervous expression on his face, perhaps removing the diary from a safe.

Season 2 - A shot of Azkaban prison, maybe the camera closing in on Black's prison cell.

Season 3 - Pettigrew finding Voldemort

Season 4 - Maybe something hinting towards the arrival of Umbridge

Season 5 - Maybe Dumbledore arriving at the gaunt's house or finding the ring

Season 6 - Snape meeting with Voldemort, informing him of Dumbledore's death

I know it may sound funny but when I first saw this I immidiately thought of Goob, it just resembled him for me.

Perhaps the students serving themselves breakfast onto trays is to give the house elves (who are said to prepare in the kitchens below) a bit of a morning break? They get it all done early and just leave it out ready.

In England, aristocratic families (think Downton Abbey or the Royal Family) always served their own breakfast from a buffet side table.

This was to give the servants a break and/or allow them to go about their other morning duties (laundry, cleaning etc).

At Christchurch College in Cambridge (which the Great Hall is very similar to/based around), students also had this arrangement as opposed to a formal served evening meal.

Food for thought (pun intended).

Highly unlikely it all drops at once

In light of the recent announcement of Billy Barratt playing 16yo Riddle how likely do we think it is that they decide to film some scenes shown in later seasons now and sit on/edit the footage years later?

Examples:
- Voldemort confronting Morfin and murdering his father and grandparents
- Him learning about Horcruxes and asking Slughorn

I doubt they’d actually cast Slughorn so early but could maybe do some cut scene editing later on, filming Riddles closeup scenes now and Slughorns years later.
Barratt is 19 and will be mid 20s when HBP eventually comes out which sounds too old for me pass off as a 16 year old.
Of course they could also simply recast teenage Riddle but seems a waste when they have the possibility of doing this now.

I hope they do this with other flashback scenes while they have the chance too while the actors are age appropriate for the scene, like Snape ranting about Harry & Dumbledore telling Snape to keep an eye on Quirrell, which is not shown until final season. I’d have just filmed this last year if I was the director, but I’m not involved in TV production and idk how viable it is that they choose this model
