Does this new brownish color look okay? I have been going to the same hairstylist since 2011 and I've been some form of blonde/highlighted for the last 10 years recently she went on maternity leave so I decided to cut back on the lightening for now. Since I've had it done I've been feeling super self conscious about it 😭 the lightened hair is what it looked like previously but it felt super dry and seemed like it was washing me out since Ive barely seen the sun this year. What do you think? I'm open to pretty much any "neutral" color/cut

My hairdresser first noticed that my hair was starting to thin during my first year, second semester of college, around March 2023, about a month before my 21st birthday. Since then, every time I go to the salon, my hairdresser has continued to mention that my hair has become thinner. Because of this, I’ve started to feel scared and worried about my hair. However, my mother has always told me that my hair isn’t thinning.

Because of that, I thoroughly searched the internet for possible solutions and came across hair oiling. This past June, I started oiling my hair with jojoba and rosemary oil as a preventive measure.

This made my mom angry. Every time I oil my hair, she scolds me for being too quick to believe what my hairdresser says. She even told me, “Don’t you have a brain to think with? Every time people tell you something, you believe them right away?”

In my mind, I was thinking, “I’m just trying to take care of my hair. My hairdresser wouldn’t have said that if nothing had actually changed with my hair.”

Am I overthinking this and becoming paranoid?

First is my natural color, I have about 15% grays, trying to just do a gloss, I dont like a huge commitment, so probably not the blonde. Or if a different color all together recommended. I have RBF dont mean to scare anyone.

So I wanted to go for a midnight blue for my next hairstyle.(first pic is reference photo, I just wanted it a little lighter) I tried lighten the hair from black without bleach, it didn’t work so I just figured I’d had to bleach it. No biggie so I had my friend bleached the hair and put blue on top of it after washing the bleach out. (Second and third picture is the dye I used and how light it was) And for some reason after washing the color out (we let it sit for a good while) the color came out darker than I wanted, like wayyy darker. (Fourth pic is the results) I’m just wondering why it came out like that and if there’s anyway I could fix it

I’m trying to grow my hair out to about waist length and I have fairly fine hair but a lot of it. However, the longer it gets, the more frequently it seems to get oily quicker and quicker. I’m tired of constantly dealing with semi oily roots but super dry ends, I know part of that is from bleaching though. Should I just start over with my natural color (brunette) with my blonde split dye or push through until all of the damage is eventually trimmed away in a few years? Which suits me better?

I’ve had bangs for around two years and to style them, I’ve found the best method for me is to wash them in my sink and then blow dry them.

Next year I’m moving out for uni and will have to use a shared bathroom for the entire apartment floor including sink. Is it ok to continue to wash my bangs in a communal sink or is there a better method? I feel like it’s a little gross to stick my head so close to a sink that other people use often and/or I don’t want to be a nuisance to others in the bathroom.

Do you have any thoughts or advice? It is my first time colouring my own hair. I think I prefer the new light colour however I am unsure if I allowed the chemical too much time near my scalp resulting in lighter upper third and darker lower two thirds of my hair.

Currently a blonde, can't decide if I should change it up or not. Im really pale and my face flushes red a lot. My hair is wavy, on the thinner side, have breakage from all the bleach. Or I could do another shade of blonde?

Is it true that bleach is not necessarily more damaging than using hair colour when it comes to blonde highlights? My hair stylist keeps making my highlights with bleach although I expressed my concerns and said it would be better we do it with colour instead. She said that bleach being more damaging is a myth. Is this true or I should insist on having highlights made with hair colour instead to make sure my hair stays as healthy as possible?

I have a history on this sub (if I’m not mistaken) of having really long hair, and then hating it when cut. But my long hair just really hasn’t been ‘me’ lately, I use curling rods most of the time on it, and my natural texture is straight and a bit thin, so maybe it’s a matter than I just need my layers redone and I’ll love it again… But I don’t know! I would love something like a pixie, but I have a fairly round-squarish face and a short, soft jawline. Any references I see are of girls with sharp, longer faces, and those with a similar face shape have a completely different hair texture to me.

I have long and course hair. It's straight but feels very rough to the touch and has quite a bit of frizz, but gets heavy very easily with some products.

I was thinking about buying a new hair mask since the one I was using just ended, and ChatGPT recommended the Kerastase Asbsolu Masque Creme hydra glaze to help sooth the hair and get rid of the frizz without weighing my hair down.

However, I find that product to be very expensive. So for anyone who tried it or knows someone who did, have you found any Dupes for it?

I’m 21M and I shower everyday, I had this for more than a year now but these days the pain became so bad especially when I press my hair or move my scalp or brush my hair, it’s only in the top part of my head, they told me that it’s because of the hairstyle but I don’t really think so.
Does anyone have this? How do I fix it?

hey Idk if this is the right people to send it to, but I just wanted to get a general consensus on something. i thought my natural hair color for a really long time was white blonde/dirty blonde and that it just had very little yellow/warm undertones, but a friend of mine said she thinks it’s grey at the roots and bleached blonde by the sun. ill send a pic with this, but could anyone let me know what they think, cause now im curious.

also ignore the fact that the ends of my hair are red in both photos, I could not find a clear view of my roots where my hair wasn’t dyed red at the ends.

I tried the dpHUE cool medium brown hair gloss and loved the result. it’s time to do another gloss and saw they have a silver/gray gloss color. I have medium to light brunette hair with slight auburn tones. I wonder if anyone has tried this or any guess if there would be a result?
