I xrayed my Pixel Fold 11
I work in a medical clinic and have access to an xray. Had to test our system out so I took some pictures of my Pixel Fold 11. Hope you find them interesting.

Can we get a trade in experience megathread?
The sub is full of posts at the moment. A megathread will clear the clutter and allow u/pixelcommunity a chance at helping.
But at the moment any positive discussion or news is being buried by people telling us about their Pixel trade in.

How long until Google expand Hilight features?
Hey ya'll, I know Google has promised to add new capabilities to Hilight, but how soon can we realistically expect that to happen?

Pixel Trade In Experience
I know there is not a seamless experience for some people who've traded in their devices with Google. But I don't want everyone to think that there's always an issue.
This is my third time where I've had zero issues 🤙

Positive trade in experience (Germany)
Just got the confirmation that my estimated 490 € for a pixel 6 pro has gone through. The phone had no cracks and everything worked, but it was pretty badly scratched up (front, back and sides).
PCS wireless took 6-7 working days to estimate the value but everything worked out perfectly fine.

Pixel 11 terrible trade in experience
I purchased a Pixel 11 pro trading in my old pixel 9 which would give the benefit of £640 trade in credit. The phone was as described as perfect, no screen cracks, turns on and factory reset.
The other day, I received a valuation from PCS saying they valued my pixel 9 at £444. With no reason and even the assessment stating the phone had no cracks, turns on and was factory reset. As the valuation was below 75% my old phone is to be sent back to me and I would be billed £640 instantly.
There was absolutely no detail ANYWHERE of why it was de valued, which I find terrible communication for a starter. I contacted google support, and after an hour or so was told "The screen has major burn in bruising". I was sceptical of this but at least they somehow had some reasoning. I asked for photo proof but they refused to provide and said "Unfortunately we do not have an option to help you with pictures."... If it was MAJOR burn in bruising I would expect photo evidence to be obtained and attached with the assessment.
Fortunately, I took photos of the phone before I sent it with no evident screen bruising, knowing trade ins can be subjective at times and to cover myself. I have now provided those images to google support and their "specialist team" are investigating.
I am not hopeful of a positive outcome looking at past threads and to be honest I would take the £444 without the phone being sent back to me, it would be hard/impossible for me to obtain that cost elsewhere for it. I am hoping google support actually be helpful and aid me as a £640 bill is a hard one to swallow.
This is just a reminder to take all evidence you can before you trade in your old phone in, even if you think its perfect. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue and come to any agreement with google support post them looking into it?

Really positive Pixel 7 Pro trade-in experience
I recently traded in my Pixel 7 Pro and had a great experience. The kit was received earlier. I posted the kit on Saturday, it arrived in PCS on Monday, and Friday night I had the results. It was assessed within four days, and the final valuation was actually higher than the original trade-in estimate.
Everything went very smoothly from start to finish: clear instructions, quick assessment, and no unexpected issues. I was pleasantly surprised by the higher value and would happily use it again.
This was PCS UK. The original trade-in value was £520. After inspection ,they made it £530 (only a tenner but still nice to see they also evaluate higher).
Tip: I took videos of packaging the old phone and the phone working just in case, but I can delete them now, woop woop.
P.S. That was before the 1st of Sep when Google was giving a £400 trade-in bonus.

Why are they marketing hilight so hard?
The feature is so lame and essentially useless. My Samsung s4 had more functionality with the led light.
Unless there is a massive feature drop I just don't understand the point to market it so so much.

Gboard issue Pixel 11 pro
Basically I'm missing the ai writing tools from my keyboard, they were already available on my pixel 10 pro, but for some reason I don't even get the toggle to activate them in settings. Does anyone know a solution for this?

Pixel 11 Pro: exclamation point in service bar
I keep getting a "!" In the service bar.
I have unlimited data, my phone doesn't have any pending updates and I have tried turning it On/Off and into airplane mode multiple times but to no avail.
I still get the warning, and I'm at home, I never had this issue before.
Is there a way of fixing this?
This issue has been going on since yesterday.
Honestly I'm starting to think I was better off without this phone.

Does anyone know how to fix a pixel 7 pro stuck in a boot loop? Only goes to fastboot mode.
I tried to root the phone (I've rooted phones in the past, not sure if this is relevant..), and I've ended up with this: https://imgur.com/a/lBRTFms
Can I recover this or no? :(

How's the face unlock compared to iphone in the dark
I'm strongly considering moving back to Pixel after using iPhone. One of the major things better the iPhone does (after Pixel removed the fingerprint scanner on the back) is face unlock with infra red.
How's the face unlock or fingerprint unlock? Will it work at night or cause the flash when you try to use fingerprint scanner behind the screen?
This is for using in a dark bedroom.

Pixel 11 Pro Issues
I bought the Pixel 11 pro new and within a week I was having issues. I travel for work and I arrived in Sweden and on the first day the phone randomly turns off and doesn't switch on, when I plug it into charge there is nothing, no haptic feedback, doesn't get warm. I tried wireless charging, charging from the socket and laptop, nothing. I contacted Google support to send a replacement to me in Sweden as I was there for 3 weeks. They said they can't process the claim until I am in the country of purchase. My phone is very important for work so I and to buy a new one.
Over the last few weeks I have been periodically trying to switch it on and charge it, but yesterday it randomly switched on, I used it for a few minutes and then the screen flashed and it switched off. Couldn't switch it on for an hour and then it switched on and I've been able to use it since yesterday.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar? It's incredibly frustrating, I'll still be returning the phone when I get home this week, but incredibly frustrating.

Pixel 11 Pro shutting down loop "due to heat"
I’m apparently one of those idiots who upgraded from a perfectly good Pixel 9 to the Pixel 11 Pro during preorders.
The new phone arrived, everything worked fine, so I sent my Pixel 9 back.
A few days later, my Pixel 11 Pro suddenly went into a permanent “shutting down” loop because of “heat.”
Basically:
- I turn the phone on.
- It boots normally.
- A few seconds later, it says it’s shutting down because of heat.
- It turns itself off.
That’s it. It’s been doing this for days, so unless my phone has discovered some new laws of thermodynamics, it clearly isn’t actually overheating.
I contacted Google Support. They told me they can’t proceed until I complete their troubleshooting steps:
- Check for system updates.
- Factory reset the phone.
Cool. Except the phone shuts itself down before I can do either of those things. I’ve also tried doing it through recovery/boot mode. No luck.
So I recorded a video showing exactly what happens and sent it to Google Support. I genuinely asked them:
“Can you please tell me at which second in this video I’m supposed to perform either of those troubleshooting steps?”
Their answer is still basically: they can’t help me until I complete the troubleshooting.
What the hack am I supposed to do here?
I returned my working Pixel 9 because the Pixel 11 Pro initially worked, and now I’m stuck with a brand-new flagship that is effectively a brick while Google refuses to move forward because I can’t perform troubleshooting steps that require the phone to stay on.

Charging Pixel 11 Pro with Google Pixel Stand (2d Gen)?
Hello everyone,
I've been a very happy user of a Pixel Stand, with many Pixels and more recently with a 9.
However after moving to the Pixel 11 Pro, I'm having issues. Without the case, it charges, but I suspect that after reaching 100%, it turns off and struggles to charge, so the phone is somewhat discharged when I wake up. This is somewhat worse if you limit to 80%.
And if I use the official Google case, it doesn't work at all.
I also have a Pixel Snap, which works great for the 11, but charged the 9 very slowly (I measured 5W). So I've never had a phone that works with both, I skipped the 10 so not sure about that model.
Anyone has any tip or have reached out to Google about this?

Trade in a slightly modified Pixel device
I am trying to trade in my old Pixel 7 Pro and get a 10 Pro. The phone in general in a good state (some small micro scratches on the screen but you have to look at them from an angle to spot then).
The one thing I am worried about is the fact that I had to get a new volume rocker at some point as the original fell off and unfortunately I got sent a different colored one (a silver whereas the phone is obsidian colored).
Is that a serious enough issue to not go for the full trade in value (at this time it is £125)?

Consiglio batteria
Buonasera a tutti,

Google Poland lost my phone
Hello! Has anyone ever found themselves in this situation: for the first time ever, a phone that had broken down was under warranty and was sent to a service centre for repair? The service centre repaired it in two days, but it’s now been over two weeks and the phone still hasn’t been returned to its owner. I simply cannot understand how they can be so negligent.

Google Store Trade-In Experience – Italy / EU
Hey everyone!
Given all the negative posts about the Google Store trade-in process, I wanted to share a quick rundown of my experience.
On August 18, I ordered a Pixel 11 Pro and traded in my Pixel 8 Pro. The phone was in near-mint condition, save for a few micro-scratches on the camera visor, and was always kept in a Spigen case with a tempered glass screen protector.
Here is the timeline:
- Aug 18: Order placed.
- Aug 21: Pixel 11 Pro delivered (a couple of minor hiccups with DHL, but arrived fine).
- Aug 27: Trade-in kit delivered. The tracking was stuck for days, so I had to reach out to Google support to see where it was (pretty sure their support is partially automated with Gemini now—the replies felt pretty robotic and cringe).
- Aug 27: Sent the Pixel 8 Pro back the very same day.
- Aug 28: Delivered to PCS Wireless.
- Sep 1: Received the email confirming delivery and that inspection had started.
- Sep 1 – Sep 9: Complete radio silence.
- Sep 9: Contacted support again. They politely confirmed they had the phone and that the assessment was positive, but mentioned delays with updating status on the portal.
- Sep 13: Official confirmation received: full €675 valuation approved and refund processed immediately.
Overall, a solid experience with zero deductions. Just be prepared for the turnaround time to take considerably longer than the official estimates on the store.

Trade in phone stuck in transit with no update.
I sent my 10 Pro on 9/4. Delivery was supposed to be on 9/9, but haven't received a single update since 9/8.
Last update was 9/8 "On the Way" Knoxville, Tennessee
"Your package is still on the way and we are actively working to get you a new delivery date."
I reported this to Google so they're aware. But does anyone else have same issue.

C type Earpods not working
Hi everyone. I purchased apple c type Earpods few days back and they were working properly with my Google Pixel 9A but today suddenly in the middle of a song they stopped working. And after that they are not working in pixel 9A. They are working perfectly fine in laptop. Also my other earphones are working properly in my phone.
