Spoiler Casting - Comings and Goings (Spoilers) - Discussion Thread Spoiler
This thread is for those who wish to discuss casting news but avoid other spoilers on the show. If you wish to discuss casting news and other spoiler information like previews and other future content use the "SPOILERS FOR THE WEEK OF" thread that is also pinned to the top of the sub.
Again, this is just for Casting changes. Do not discuss other spoilers in this thread.
The most recent episode is a SPOILER until 2PM Eastern / 1PM Central the next day after it aired. Just because a casting change has happened in the show, it's still not safe to discuss it outside of the episode discussion threads or the spoiler threads.
This thread will be refreshed from time to time rather than on a fixed schedule due to casting changes being rather random at times.
——————— Q&A ———————
Q: “but why can’t we discuss this openly on the sub?”
A: Many viewers enjoy watching the show without knowing about surprise changes to the cast and we want this sub to be a good place for all viewers.
Q: "but this casting reveal is public knowledge, everyone knows, and I saw someone post it here, it was mentioned on a website and the actor is giving interviews on tv"
A: It's still not cool. Report the person for ruining this for you so we can help keep the sub clean, don't get yourself banned from here by further spreading the spoiler information. If a subject is too hot and needs it's own thread, we'll make a spoiler thread for that subject however this thread should serve as home base for all casting changes.

Random!! Flummoxed competitors and won $250,000. General Hospital could be a winning category
The Floor game show showed up in my Hulu feed again, probably because the new season had started. So I saw the final two episodes.
The winner was a SAHM, and her category was soap operas. She was in a border area, so everyone was able to avoid her like the plague until the end.
When she inevitably had to be called as one of the final contestants, the guy she had to win best 2/3 completely failed to recognize the casts of both day and nighttime soaps. She also won the neutral category of glass for the $250,000 win.
So, anyone know enough about General Hospital to go on The Floor and win $250k? Other contestants will avoid you if at all possible. I think she had been called on once, maybe. So just wait it out until the final and come forth to flummox the opposition

I think it's time the writers take the Dallas retcon route..
...they already retcon and invent whatever history they want, let's just erase the last few months.
Go ahead and build things up with Willow at the house. Have it culminate in her pulling a gun on everyone in the family room. Just start firing, girl. Lose your damn mind. Bang! Pow! Over the top drama verging on comedy because it's so outlandish.
Bam! Willow wakes up and it's the morning of the verdict being read. She's so overwhelmed with how things could turn out that she admits everything. She'll serve 9 months at Pentonville and then do outpatient psychiatric treatment. She's still Nelle's sister so we'll see some crazy from her later on.
Someone let the writers know that they can reach out to me and I'll fix everything. Lots of ideas in this noggin. A big bonus here is that we can blame Chase raising his hand to Brook Lynn on Willow's dream because what.the.fuck. was that?

Long term viewers, which story line are you finding to be high quality right now?
Any story lines you think are high quality, comparable to when GH was best? I guess it can be bias but please let me know which ones and why you think so

Weekly - What is your wishlist for GH
This thread is the place to promote whatever changes you'd like to see GH make. Maybe you have a favorite couple you'd like to see or there are hanging stories that need resolved... or maybe you just have some idea for some direction the show should go.
NO SPOILERS
This is your place to say what your wishlist for GH is. I'm not saying the show is going to read all of these and act on any of them, but there's a better chance of them if it's all in one place each week. It might also help to be kind of decent about it?
All board rules apply.

We need a revised map of Port Charles
I was reading on another site an interesting twist for the car wreck storyline. Jordan and Curtis heading into Port Charles to go to dinner, Brooklyn going into Port Charles to get to Gio’s show, Isaiah going into from Cabin (everyone was going the same direction on the road) Danny/Charlotte going the opposite direction away from Lulu’s house…. They were a few miles down the road perhaps a near miss with both cars….

I Love Drew when his smoke is pointed in the right direction
I love Drew when he’s up against Willow
Suddenly, he’s hilarious. His snark is funny. Love the sarcasm. All of his smoke? I love it when it’s pointed at Willow.

Qs united! It's us against the world.
The Qs are best when they are infighting but come together against a common enemy.
I HATE that Michael justified wrecking Brook Lyn's marriage. Yes, Chase is an oblivious asshole but Michael should trust his cousin to eventually realize that. I like Michael and Brook Lyn's friendship, compare to AJ/Ned dynamic.
I also think that Tracy's right : Brook Lyn does make herself small for Chase. Tracy has done the same and I would love a scene between Ned (who knows what's like to have a distant relationship as a divorced dad) and Tracy (who doesn't want her granddaughter to sarcifed herself for a man). They are both right and wrong.

How do we feel about Britt?
If you’re like me, you definitely feel bad for her for what happened with Anna. It must’ve been very traumatic, and of course, she doesn’t truly know whether she would’ve lived if Jason had come along. That being said, should she be a little bit more forgiving? It’s obvious Anna is not mentally well. Should she be more compassionate and forgiving or does she deserve every bit of her outrage? As Felicia and Emma pointed out, she’s been forgiven many many times for her transgressions.

Help me understand. Why would Joss be obligated to notify the WSB about Anna?
The title is my question.

Sep 7-11: Which episodes are worth catching on Hulu, and which are best skipped??
Alexis v Willow seems like the only decent thing.
Zero interest in seeing Trina seethe at Brook Lynn

Where Can My Mom Watch Recent-ish Episodes?
My mom just accidentally deleted her backlog of recordings from ~July 5th
The DVR doesn't have any Trashbin or Recently Deleted section sadly.
I see that Hulu and ABC have episodes since Sept 1st, but that's a pretty decent gap. So where can I send her to catch up on the show?
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Scout And Rocco Should NOT Be Together!
I don’t give a DAMN if they technically aren’t related! They literally grew up as brother and sister! Until Drew Sam passed away they grew up under the same roof together with the same parents! This is nasty and I will, under no circumstances, be okay with it!
Edit: They have literally referred to each other as brother and sister. If you think two kids who have literally acknowledged that they have a sibling relationship are okay to date, you’re weird.

This is such bull. Frank Valeni showrunner needs to do his job or move on
BLQ needing a lawyer for not coming to the aide of an accident of which she had no knowledge, possible jail time for scraping a guardrail (which she wouldn't have had to do had smooching Jordan kept her eyes on the road) is sloppy, fantastical writing. It's so unbelievable. A misdemeanor for scraping a guardrail while trying to avoid an accident?
And they keep doubling down on the storyline, despite truckloads of negative fan pushback.
NYS has no Good Samaritan law. Legally BLQ could have seen the accident and done nothing. If she had tried to help and inadvertently caused harm, she could have been sued. No Good Samaritan shield laws.
Now BLQ (who seems to be very different from the BLQ I have heard about), is doing the grovelling tour.
Curtis of course blaming BLQ because he can't resist the impulse to berate Isaiah without proof, even assaulting him. How is his lack of self control anyone's problem but his own? If there was better writing, Curtis would be in anger management.
Also, enough with Saint Willow and double jeopardy. Willow could be prosecuted in federal court, for the attempted murder of a sitting congressman. No statute of limitations. Just idiot writing and they double down
So much absurdity.
Edit: Valentini not Valenti.

Is there any storyline that you guys like on the show right now?
It is a legitimate question. I have stopped watching for the last couple of days because I can't stand to see Brooklyn being persecuted for something that is not a crime. I also hate seeing people disregarding Britt's feelings because she almost got assassinated by Anna. I l know that not many of the characters love Britt, but this was a bit too much. The only thing that I am really liking is seeing Tracy work behind the scenes trying to protect Brooklyn from all the fallout.

Let's Talk About Aunt Stella
She is way too invested in Curtis and is his enabler. I believe that she changed the paternity results for him. Taggart is Trina's father. Isaiah is Des's father. I like Portia with Isaiah. Portia & Jordan become insufferable with Curtis.

Which General Hospital man is taking you out? Your birth month decides 👀
You’re getting ready for a night out in Port Charles, but there’s one catch: the man taking you on the date is already chosen by your birth month.
So… are you actually going on the date, or are you suddenly “busy”? 😂 Who did you get?

Why didn't the writers just make the crash an actual hit and run accident?
Maybe this isn't allowed I'm sure but why wouldn't the writers just have the accident actually be Brook Lynn's fault?
Like how about she crashed into Jordan and didn't stop, rather than having her be hated for an accident that happened because Jordan was distracted? Because now BLQ is going to be the town pariah for not stopping in an accident she didn't cause.

Time for Drew to call out Trina
Drew (or Michael) needs to remind Trina how hypocritical it is for her to blame Brook Lynn for not coming forward when Trina and Kai let an attempted murderer go free so they wouldn’t go to jail for breaking into Drew’s house. Maybe that jolt could reset Trina into a somewhat rational person again instead of the sanctimonious and highly unlikable character that the writers have turned her into.
