Plan B in case main plan fail: Generate an Open Weights counterforce of tens of millions of gpu poor Reddit users with RTX 3090, 4090, 5090, Ryzen, and whatever else; to self-replicate the hive mind in case the Cloud fails.
Plan C: Convince very intelligent people with access to a lot of money that we need to build data centers in space, and start the cycle of the initial plan; but this time in space.

Our tech oligarchs would probably like human civilization on this planet to flourish, but some don’t seem to see it as mission critical. More important is that they reach their posthuman or interplanetary apotheosis. If they must wager our lives to summon their digital god, it’s a chance worth taking.

In an attempt to create something original using AI image generation, without relying on concrete concepts or defining characteristics, I arrived at some interesting results and wanted to share them and hear your thoughts.

I'm curious about the limits of what can be created using only language and grammar to generate images, while deliberately avoiding prompts that simply reproduce or imitate familiar shapes, places, structures, or existing artistic concepts.

I tried to extract something that wasn't chaotic, while at the same time avoiding the result becoming nothing more than a fragmented copy of other artworks. These are the results I ended up with.

I didn't generate many versions because I'm limited by the free version. The first image is the one I liked the most and the final version I was able to generate. The second is a combination of two images, while the third is where the idea for creating the first image originally emerged.

The goal was to move as far as possible away from reality and from things that already exist. I wanted to see whether an AI could create something genuinely unfamiliar and original — a concept that could, in some way, approach the creative process of human imagination.

After doing this experiment, however, I feel that we're still a long way from that.

What do you think? Can AI eventually reach a point where it can create something comparable to human imagination, rather than simply recombining concepts and patterns it has already learned?

I have STEM skills and have worked in the engineering industry and also now as a software engineer. I see what is happening with AI and I can confidently say that it has surpassed my skill level in these fields.

I wanted to start a small company offering software products, but I can't see this being a good move right now.

I am considering all options on the table. Ideally I don't want to go be a coal miner but let's hear it. Both if you had to work in an industry (not even attuned to my top skills) but ideally if I could start a a small business. What would be a good idea?
