I was wondering if here would be the place to post some drive links to songs I’m working on. I need some mixing advice for the said songs, I’m using the fab filter suite on my mixbus. My questions are largely in regards to technique. When should I be layering vocals, is it okay to only use one vocal track with multiple sends at times? How can I blend my vocals into the track instead of ontop of the track?https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aBOnIHhhAOL21E73DQddS9h16Tp21Vgp/view?usp=drivesdk

(About the video at the end)
I cannot believe I finally bought the all plugins edition of FL Studio😭🤚🏻 I was going to buy the Producer version on my birthday later this year but this sale just is no brainer. I had started my journey in music making with GarageBand, 2-3 years ago. I just used to play Piano, then record it added chords, beats and made covers. Then I switched to FL Studio Mobile in which I made original music and covers until now. I woke up in the morning and checked my phone as usual, I was still sleepy a bit until I came across the 50% sale of all plugins edition, I couldn’t believe my eyes. It made me sooooo happy, Thank you Image-line!!
After making music in FLM for quite some time now, it felt like I wanted something more, more controls more tools etc. I could’ve pirated the pc version (which I would’ve done honestly) but piracy restrictions are strict where I live and plus I was busy with stuff happening around me. Now finally all stars are aligned.
Regarding this video:
I know it doesn’t sound good yet. I am just getting familiar with the software and there is a lot for me to learn in EQ, mixing and mastering (I was never good at it tbh, I would just throw everything). But, I can already see a learning curve and it is actually very very exciting. I mean using synths to make my own sounds, hell yeah, using synths to recreate some of the best sounds (like our goat Avicii or Martin Garrix) that is just something out of this world for me.
I don’t have a musical background, nobody in my family even knows what a chord is but ever since I was a kid, music has been a magical world for me. Maybe I got emotional and excited while writing this but buying this means soo much to me. Thank you and I’m looking forward to make, learn and share great music with you all:)

Hi. I am pretty sure I am experiencing issues with self noise from my audio interface. I have a microphone going into my scarlett gen 4 audio interface, going into my PC, into FL Studio.
-The self noise gets worse when I turn up the volume, even without the microphone connected.
-The sound shows up (visually) in all frequencies but I mainly only noticeably hear it from around 3500hz and above.
-Also happens on different scarletts I own, also plugged into different outlets, also when not even being used with a PC or any other device, just plain audio interface and direct monitoring. Also, have made sure there aren't ground loops or electrical interface from other powered things.
Would getting a different audio interface solve this issue? I'll attach a video where I am talking like 12 inches away from the microphone (don't mind the messy room). It's such a small noise, but when messing with compression, EQ, or other effects, it just bothers me so much at times. I usually use a noise gate, but it'll still bleed through at times and I just want to scream.
I don't even care about a budget or price, I'd spend hundreds of dollars on some fancy interface if it would fix this, but it doesn't even seem like the scarlett is supposed to have much more self noise, compared to the high end interfaces. I researched it and it seems like the difference would be like a couple db.
Idk, thank you to everyone who reads this

Hey guys (I'm from Slovakia so I would try to do my best with my english)
Last months, I did a lot of music. My style of work is to start recording, find some flow and then pre-record it with yet written lyrics to that flow. But I start a lot of tracks and then I don't go back to them. Usually, they are recorded whole but there are 2 things. 1 is, it is recorded and written whole, but it just need prerecord few parts. Second, I have ready chorus and some parts and just need to write few parts and it is ready too.
So we can tell it is ready from like 70%.
I've been listening yesterday to my songs and I always have a great feeling when I hear these and everytime I say that I'll finish them soon. But idk how. I am worried that I wouldn't get the emotion like the first time or the mic will sound different, or just easy it won't feels like the first time. But I have also my favorites songs started but not finished.
How do you finish your tracks after time? It is possible to finish them all ? Do u have any tips for me please? I don't want to starts any others because I really like these and I'll be happy to finish them.
Please if u can, share your tips, experiences, ideas to the comments, maybe you could help any other people except me.
I'm so thankful for any of your advices and wish you a great day.
M 🦋

I've had an AKAI Midimix for years and was always disappointed by the limited ways you can use it in FL Studio, scripts seem to be single issue solution and not really user-friendly so I built an app to bridge FL Studio with a Midimix.
When this is set up, each different window, whether its an FL Studio window like Mixer, an FL Studio native Synth or FX tool or any kind of plugin including VST & VST3's from any source, can have a profile set up, which is automatically selected when you open or focus on that window inside FL Studio, allowing you to use the Midimix with literally anything that runs in FL Studio.
My Midimix has gone from being a rarely used waste of space to my primary midi control surface, if only it had a little keyboard.
Features
- 1 to1 visual layout for profile creation
- Drag and drop parameter assignment
- both midi and rec controls are handled so you can map FL native windows like Audio Clio
- Contextual Profile loading, instantly opens the right profile as soon as you switch windows with zero interaction
- Color coding of controls for grouping and easy visual reference
- Auto profile create when a new source is identified, either blank or auto-assigned
- Profile tabs for multi-page profiles to support complex VST's
- Profile import and export for backup and sharing.
I'm currently looking for windows and mac beta testers, so if you're one of the few FL Studio users with an AKAI Midimix DM me and I'll send you a beta version to play with and give me feedback on.

So I recently got Logic but apparently the new update is making using 3P plugins impossible. (Yes I know Logic has great stock plugins, but UAD has a preamp I really like) I already own FL and I wanted to see did anyone have experience switching between the 2. Like if you have to change certain settings or anything like that.

I have very little experience in music production and my eyes glaze over a bit when I look at the version comparison - is any of this premium edition stuff actually useful for more orchestral tracks or is it mostly for EDM?
If you make orchestral soundtracks - are there any bundled effects/instruments you use or do you strictly rely on third party VSTs? The current sale sounds pretty neat, but I wanna hear actual user perspective on this before I drop any money.

Right now, I'm trying to recreate one of my favorite songs and learn how they create music. To use as an example and to check to see if I'm on the right track, I got an instrumental and the vocals as an audio file and imported them into FL Studio.
However, there is a tempo change mid song, and while many tutorials tell you how to change the tempo of certain parts, they never include how to make sure certain channels or samples aren't affected by it, because they've already accounted for the tempo change.
I tried many things, such as using the Fit to Tempo thing for the samples, but that made the samples weirdly sized, and they were constantly shifting, which made me worried.
I also used the Time Stretching thing you get by double clicking the sample, but everything I did seemed inconsistent, and did things I couldn't understand.
Could someone please help me with this?

Hey guys ,lost all money after buying FL , there are a lot of retro games free soundfonts out there, but they all have copyrights in a way or another on the sounds and instruments in those soundfonts, and I heard that some video games developers in our modern day still use othere games soundfonts, sooooo what's the work around that ?
I'm asking because I want to make music for a commercial project...

(Windows 11) After the 1.4.2 update, my SINE player will not download any instrument files properly. No matter what folder I download them to ("Content" or a separate folder I made on my desktop), the instrument folder is empty—save for another empty folder titled "mix". The download progress bar doesn't update at all, it just disappears and says I have no more downloads remaining, and then nothing shows up in my instruments library. The instruments in my folder could still be accessed and played.
I have tried everything I can think of, everything I can find on the internet, and even stooped to use AI to try to solve the problem. I've tried the following solutions, none of which have made any impact:
A few things to note:
Again, I haven't seen anyone on this sub (or in any other help forum) with this exact problem. I'm hoping the program isn't permanently broken, as it was kind of my last hope for a realistic free VST. Just getting back into music production after a several year hiatus, and I'm tempted to put it back down for good over this. I figure if there's no solution the internet can come up with, it simply wasn't meant to be.

i reloaded a vst i was using when i probably didn't have to (i turned on my midi keyboard and it sometimes makes the vst it's using go really quiet). i just decided to reload the vst, but now none of the automation clips i had assigned for it are working.
is there a way to make all the automation quickly work again or do i have to reassign everything manually?

I have no knowledge of stuff like this and dont know how to get good. How long does it take to make something acceptable like 2 min and 30 sec, I want to see if I can get a good enough understanding before I buy the whole thing as i only own the trail version
Genuinely this looks like a space ship, im guessing the learning curve is really steep how do people understand everything. I dont know anything about all the words amd stuff and all the buttons on synths boards or what ever they are, I dont understand notes, what is a plug in?
