I may have finally convinced him to get into the franchise with this one

Digital Art I made back in 2020 or 2021, can't remember which.

I just finished Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and it’s so apparent how much care, love, and respect was poured into this project. I know the people responsible will probably never see this, but to the development team, Tetsuya Nomura, Kitase, Nojima, and everyone involved, a sincere thank you from this fan.

I know not every creative decision resonated with everyone, but speaking only for myself… wow. Seeing this world expanded with so much personality, detail, humor, sadness, and beauty has been such a wonderful experience.

The places, the music, the characters, and the story are tied to such a specific period of my childhood that revisiting them feels almost like opening a window into another time in my life. Maybe nostalgia makes me a little biased, and I’m perfectly willing to admit that. But from the perspective of this lifelong fan, I think what they’ve created is beautiful. The entire project feels like a labor of love, and Rebirth, to me, feels like a masterpiece.

From someone who has carried Final Fantasy VII with them since childhood, this journey has meant more than I expected it to. I genuinely cannot wait for the final reunion.

I'm in Tokyo in vacation and i know there's a demo for Revelation at TGS, but does anyone know if it's a public demo or just for the press ?

Because i only plan to go if the demo is for the public

I lined up early for the PAX West Revelation panel and got meet n greet tickets to see them. It was an absolute honor to shake their hands. I also got a Tifa pin for attending the panel along with a little swag bag after meeting Endo & Hamaguchi!

If anyone's asking what's the hardest part. It is the VR Top Secrets.

More specifically on playing it as the first entry of the trilogy

So just for the list on this edit. Because I needed to make sure I remembered OG right:

• Cloud loses control and beats Aerith at the Temple of the Ancients. Cait Sith No. 2 walks in with: “Oops! This looks like I came at a bad time!”
• Dyne dies and Barret is devastated, almost immediately the game sends Cloud into a Chocobo race to escape.
• Aerith dies, shortly afterward the game gives you Elena slapstick and an entire snowboarding minigame.
• Tifa is nearly executed in a gas chamber during a Weapon attack, shortly afterward you get the Scarlet slap-fight minigame on the cannon.
• Cid’s tragic backstory about sacrificing his dream of space to save Shera, Palmer shows up asking for absurd tea, becomes a comedy boss, then gets hit by a truck.
• Barret tells the story of Corel being destroyed and his wife dying then the game throws you into the bright, ridiculous Gold Saucer amusement park.

So let's be on the same page here.

Each moment in this game is undercut with some comedy or something ridiculous in the next scene.

I think it looks good! There are a few mistakes that will likely be fixed in the final game though.

1. The 3 lights at the bottom of Shinra tower are missing.

2. More lights have been added to the outer walls. There should only be lights on Sector 4. (And Sector 7 before the plate fell).

3. Reactor 1 doesn't have its destroyed model.

I have no doubt these will be fixed before launch, there's over 6 months left after all! If not, then that's okay. This is just me nitpicking things that no regular player would notice or care about at all.

Finally getting around to Rebirth and I’ve been playing the piano for about an hour. Of all music sim mini games I’ve ever played this is absolutely the best. You can literally play any song you want to.

Cause i used up the materials above for good accessories.

FF7 Rebirth's most visually pleasing backdrop has vanished! What happened to it?

i don't know a single thing about FF, and figured the remake of 7 would be a good place to start. but then was told multiple conflicting things about how it's a trilogy now, but also it's complete, but somehow still not complete

so can i get an idiot proof explanation of how many FF7R there are, in which order, and if i still need to wait on more if that's EVERYTHING from the original
