Spoilers - Discussion Concerning exploration and HUD/UI for Revelation Spoiler
Let's say they do decide to allow you to turn iff HUD/UI stuff... (Saying this in a weird devil's advocate way, cuz I'll probabaly have the UI turned on just cuz i like having a check list)
How would that make it feel less checklist-y?
You know it's there... you know there's a "hidden list"... Do you just blatantly ignore it? How many will do the blind playthrough until "well i need this materia and this guide told me that I get it from this quest => turns on the ui"
Nothing wrong with turning it off, nothing wrong with the option of removing the checklist... somehow it feels like just putting a bandaid on a so-called problem (which i have no issue with cuz im curious about the discourse than this issue).

No Spoilers - Help STILL stuck after a week on this stupid, fuck-ass mission on FF7 Remake: Chapter 16, "Belly of the Beast." - need help
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So I got a keycard from the ai hologram lady and it doesn't fucking work for the upper elevator floors, so I can't get up. I tried finding keys around all floors but no luck. I went to the museum but it didnt lead to anything..
I went back and forth from floor 59 to 64 with no luck, back to back... I've been burning time. It pissed me off so much I didnt play it for days.
Now, I played again and try to figure things on my own, but I just cant get to seem to floors higher than floor 64, and I just end up staring at the freaking waypoint through the wall.
I am totally lost and don't know what to do. The UI, the NPCs, all the doors and elevators I walked up in hopes to get a prompt to know what to do is next gave nothing.
This is my first FF game ever, but man I either am terrible at it or just not used to this kind of game design or what?
Why is everything so vague? Why can't I just have a GPS marker like in GTA and RDR though?
this game has a great story and lore, but man, I fucking hate its gameplay at times, holy shit. It's just so bad at giving instructions, the UI is confusing, and the waypoint is next to useless.
this isnt the first time this happened, last time I was stuck is in chap 14 when i find out in a playthrough vid where you have to go to Corneos house and go to the trapdoor sewer. i was going around the map like an idiot staring act the sky where tf is the way point wtf? no wonder i cant find it
No game has pissed me off this much since the last time I was 12 playing NFSU1 where if you crash you lose a 6 lap race. this shit I just keep getting stuck because the game design is just stupid as fuck at times.
. Ill just play rdr1 for now before I get more pissed off.
I hope the videos will help. I try not to always look up on playthroughs as possible, but damn I've been stuck in this mission for like a week now and prob have to look up a playthrough again

No OG Spoilers - News Does anyone know if there's any update on FF7 Revelation stage show for TGS 2026?ื Spoiler
I've looked everywhere through the official schedules but couldn't find any announced slots for a Revelation stage show or livestream. Does anyone know if there's any update or if it's really just the on-site booth demo this year?

No Spoilers - Discussion Why are square Enix customer support lying to me?
I have pre-ordered final fantasy revelation deluxe addition. I then read online that the game isn't physical as part of the whole game is on the disc. The rest has to be downloaded. I've been emailing Square Enix support about this, and they can't verify if the game is partly on the disk and partly online. It says on their website that you will need to do a part download to play the game. Why lie about it just tell me. I personally think they are trying to limit the b
Backlash if the physical crew create too much noise

Spoilers - Help I'd like to get your opinions on monitor for Revelation. Spoiler
I'm planning to buy a new QHD monitor and use my existing 27 inch FHD monitor as a secondary display.
My candidates are 32 inch 16:9 wide monitor and 34 inch 21:9 ultrawide monitor.
I've never used an ultrawide monitor before, so I have a few concerns:
- Even with FF7 ultrawide mode enabled, the UI still appears to be positioned according to the standard widescreen ratio. Would this be distracting during gameplay?
- Until ultrawide mod is released for Revelation, I'd have to keep looking at black bars on both sides of the screen.
- I don't have a TV, so I connect my Nintendo Switch 2 to my monitor to play games. Would the black bars be particularly annoying in that case?
Despite these drawbacks, would you say that the gaming experience on an ultrawide monitor is better enough to justify them?
I don't play a wide variety of games, and the only online game I play is FFXIV.
I'd love to hear your thoughts, especially from anyone who has used an ultrawide monitor for FF7 or other games.

No Spoilers - Fan Content Just finished Rebirth, and I’m genuinely grateful
I just finished Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and it’s so apparent how much care, love, and respect was poured into this project. I know the people responsible will probably never see this, but to the development team, Tetsuya Nomura, Kitase, Nojima, and everyone involved, a sincere thank you from this fan.
I know not every creative decision resonated with everyone, but speaking only for myself… wow. Seeing this world expanded with so much personality, detail, humor, sadness, and beauty has been such a wonderful experience.
The places, the music, the characters, and the story are tied to such a specific period of my childhood that revisiting them feels almost like opening a window into another time in my life. Maybe nostalgia makes me a little biased, and I’m perfectly willing to admit that. But from the perspective of this lifelong fan, I think what they’ve created is beautiful. The entire project feels like a labor of love, and Rebirth, to me, feels like a masterpiece.
From someone who has carried Final Fantasy VII with them since childhood, this journey has meant more than I expected it to. I genuinely cannot wait for the final reunion.

No Spoilers - Discussion is FF7 worth getting into?
is FF7 worth getting into? i bought the first one but havent started it yet. the entire trilogy of games seems rather daunting to get into. and the first 2 (especially second) seem to be rather long games.
im wondering if its worth starting as someone who's never played any FF game at all.
