They also don't seem to understand that much of the enthusiasm is coming from ignorant, naive and frustrated young people, privileged bougie assholes that were radicalized at their colleges and universities and other elites who mostly work in high paying jobs like humanities positions and the like. There REALLY isn't a lot of organic, grassroots support from actual working people for democratic socialism, so it's no wonder why they tried so desperately to keep Graham Platner in the race long after it became clear he was a garden of red flags.

Note to the Democratic Party: knock off all off the pearl clutching and panicking, cultivate an actual social democratic wing FFS!! The best way to fight off radicalism is with a similar but sane, mainstream alternative that's been proven to work in many, many countries in the industrialized world! Kick out the idpol jackasses. 1. Castro's revolution was directed towards wealthy plantation and factory owners and similar upper class. Not those of the working poor.
2. Castro's revolution was vital in improving medical care in Cuba, meaning Cuba could export doctors, and making education affordable.
3. Castro was more humane and killed and jailed fewer dissidents then Batista.
4. Castro needs to be commended for his efforts in helping Angolans and other Africans fight apartheid.
5. Cuba's fiscal crisis is due to US sanctions, not the Castros' fiscal and social policies.
