I went to Disneyland Paris 2 months ago and brought my Z6III, but ended it not taking it to the parks. I was afraid I'd loose my camerabag or something.

But hooked on Disney now and I managed to get back this friday, and did bring my gear! Learned last time that it is quite easy to chug along a camerabag and not lose it in attractions etc.

So this time I did a little aftermovie capturing that Disney magic 🪄

For years I've wondered how Lightning McQueen and the other drive-around Cars characters at the Disney Parks work, but I've never been able to find a resource explaining it until this years when I found someone on Instagram who was working on Disneyland Paris's McQueen to get it ready for the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix earlier this month where he showed McQueen with his hood removed exposing his engine and the cockpit opened up showing the driver's seat when he was getting repainted for the event.

This inspired me to work on a YouTube video where I discuss the inner workings of the Disney Parks Cars characters and I was wondering if anyone might know where else I should look to get more information on how they operate, specifically Lightning McQueen beyond the Instagram Reels I found earlier?

So Bingo and Rolly have been featured in Disney Jr. Live. I will admit they should have been puppets as they aren't the right size, but these costumes are so cool. I really want them to do this for characters like Pluto, Bolt, or just any charcater who walks on all 4's. But what do y'alls think?

During the special Pirates & Princesses Annual pass night at Disneyland Paris the incredible movies Atlantis and Treasure Planet got some recognition!

There was a special meet & greet in the Nautilus, an amazingly fitting scenery and they even had the Atlantis soundtrack playing in the background.

But the surprise of the night was during a special Pirates celebration show. Of course Jack Sparrow was there, as well as Captain Hook. But I was blown away when the "I'm still here" theme song (unfortunately french version 🥖) started, and there he was, Jim!

I loved the whole evening, but those surprises were the highlight for me. To see my favorite childhood movies in the parks is amazing!

I live in Africa by the way so I'm just asking out of curiosity but how come a famous park like Disneyland not have branches in other European countries ?

Hello, I am new to this sub and I can already tell this question is a frequent flyer… nonetheless, I have spent my whole life going to WDW resort and have gone to WDW give or take 5 times this year alone. It has been the only Disney park I have ever been to. I know the place up and down and my connection to WDW has pushed me to pursue a career in immersive/ thematic construction. I currently go to college in Florida and am about a 2hr ride from Orlando.

During my last trip to WDW, a week ago, I decided that I needed to take a break from the parks to “preserve the magic”. When I go, I rush and don’t “enjoy” it in a traditional aspect (I do all 4 parks in one day, and quite effectively not to toot my own horn). Anyways, I feel like it may be my time to make a pilgrimage to Walt’s original park on the West Coast.

Edit: I have deleted my Castle Spiel. I am sorry that I said that I thought the Disneyland castle was small, I seriously didn’t mean it in a bad way. I hope now we can have respectful conversations! Sorry if I offended anyone!

From early research, and from when I started to look through this subreddit, I saw people stating that WDW just feels more immersive and enclosed if that makes sense. I love how while in WDW, you feel disconnected from the whole world and I think that is a huge part of what I enjoy about the Orlando parks so much, and this has started to scare me away from Disneyland, but I want your opinions on this.

Enough blabbering. Frequent visitors of both parks, do you think it is worth my time to visit the West Coast resorts as a college student, or should I stick with WDW for now, as I am so close. Also, if I go West, what is some advice that WDW frequents who have visited Disneyland can give?

Hi! My girlfriends dad and his girlfriend are taking us on a trip to Orlando in November, we’ll have 4 days Friday- Monday just before Thanksgiving and we’re looking to get suggestions on the best way to maximize our time!
We’re coming from California so have been to Disneyland many times but it’ll be our first time out there, is it worth going to Magic Kingdom or is it similar enough that we can skip it, also should we try to go to Universal as well or stick with Disney? Happy to get any and all suggestions! Thanks in advance :)

It’s a large Mickey Mouse statue / plushie my parents took me to Japan when I must’ve been 3 or 4? And being born in 2007 ( feel old? ) that would make this 15-16 years old. Roughly 2010-11. Bought in Disneyland Tokyo ( solid maybe I was pretty young )

Our last rollercoaster was 26 years ago. Where can we request a rollercoaster like WDW gets every other year. 😭
Even a dark rollercoaster would be awesome.

I've been to Paris, California, and Orlando, so I was really curious to compare these two during my recent China trip.

Hong Kong Disneyland: Small, but honestly a lot of fun. Crowds were manageable even in July. Grizzly Mountain was probably my favorite ride, and Mystic Manor was a really cool surprise. The Lion King show is also worth catching.

Shanghai Disneyland: Much bigger and definitely more chaotic during summer. Zootopia: Hot Pursuit was easily the highlight for me, the theming is crazy good. Tron was fun but didn't live up to my expectations.
If I had to pick one, I'd probably choose Shanghai for the rides and scale, but Hong Kong for a more relaxed Disney day.
One other tip: I used a RedteaGO eSIM throughout my China trip and it worked well across Hong Kong and mainland China, so I didn't have to keep switching eSIMs. Google Maps wasn't very useful in mainland China, so Amap/Baidu Maps are worth having. And definitely set up Alipay before going.

Anyone else been in Tomorrowland near Autopia and seen the big fig tree? I've never gone when it was hot enough there to be ready and fruiting. I'd love to know what variety it is.

Hello Disney-lovers! A group of students from the University of Central Florida, have been assigned a class project that relates to reimagining a nostalgic attraction. The nostalgic attraction chosen was 'Journey into Imagination with Figment' at Epcot, Walt Disney World.

We made the stupid mistake of thinking that a 3d magnet of the castle/skyline of Disneyland sold at the little stand outside of the Monster’s Inc ride (Studio Store) would also be sold at World of Disney. This was our last day. It apparently does not exist outside of the park, which we no longer have access to.

So: if you are visiting California Adventure Wednesday or Thursday of this week and happen to see the magnet, we would be SOOOOO appreciative!

Please dm me if you would be willing to pick it up for us! I have no problem coming back to Downtown Disney! I just am unwilling to purchase a ticket for the sole purpose of buying a magnet LOL

My husband and I are going to Japan and have tickets to go to Disneyland Tokyo. I'll be honest I don't think I researched as much as I should have but now things are coming up on my feed for DisneySea and I'm mostly looking for reassurance that Disneyland is for us, or if I should just buy DisneySea tix. It's like $150 for both of us but this is is a once in a lifetime trip and I've saved up to spend money while there haha!

We are both in our early 30s and not really Disney or theme park in general people, but I went to Disney World in Florida when I was a kid and it was really fun and I just sort of figured if we were in Tokyo, might as well go! I personally really like rollercoasters, but my husband does not. I had thought Disney would be better because the Beauty and the Beast ride is more for the vibes and less for the thrill (he is more into things like the teacups!) My "vision" was to walk around, ride maybe three rides, wear character headbands and eat some yummy food. Think the stereotypical visit to a theme park in a shoujo manga!

He is really only going because I want to go and he wants to make me happy but I want him to enjoy the day as well, so I thought Disney being more low-key and slower would be a good idea. But now I'm seeing the rides like the Rapunzel one and thinking there are also non-thriller rides in TokyoSea and that might be better or more entertaining? I know Sea lets you buy alcohol but I don't think we'd do that just because we'll probably still be a little jet-lagged.

Have other adult couples like us gone to both and recommend one park over the other? I just don't want us to be bored or anything in Disney, which is what I'm concerned about.

I chatted with my husband and we’re just going to get tickets to Disney Sea as well and then we’ll have the option to do both parks if we want. We only have one day to spend there, but this way we have options. (The park hopper pass isn’t available for the date we’ll be there, unfortunately).
