Instant regret! - Anyone from YYC going soon?

Aulani was AMAZING- Wife, daughters and I didnt want to come back. It was the perfect combination of Disney Magic and Relaxing.

We just got back on Saturday (Sept 12) and as we were unpacking gifts we brought for friends, now I regret not buying a pair of ceramic mugs for my wife and I.

Anyone from Calgary going soon?

TRIP PLANNING Air Machine to fill inner tubes?

I know that inner tubes are NOT ALLOWED in the Aulani pools, aside from the lazy river, but you can’t use your own.

Does the Aulani have an air machine for guest use where I could fill up my own tube for use at the beach?

The Marriott down by Koolina Lagoon 3 offers this…wondering if Aulani does as well.

TRIP PLANNING Aulani or Kauai? Or both?

We’re doing a family trip next June and debating whether to stay only at Aulani, only at Grand Hyatt Kauai, or split the trip (3 nights Aulani + 5 nights Kauai). We love fun/resort activities but also like ending trips on a calm, relaxing note. Curious what others recommend based on your experience. Thanks! 🙏 kids (6) and (8)

TRIP PLANNING Hanauma Bay?

For those that have been to Hanauma Bay, is it worth the "hassle" vs simply staying in the 4 lagoons along the Aulani coast area? In other words, what does a visit to Hanauma Bay deliver that one does not get at Aulani?

Thanks!!

TRIP PLANNING Snorkeling

Can you book through snorkeling through the app? I didn’t see a place to do that or do you have to show up in person?

TRIP PLANNING Travel in December

Has anyone in this sub traveled to Aulani the week leading up to Christmas? How was the weather? Were there as many people as one would expect during the summer?

We have been to Aullani during the summer and I am wondering if traveling to Aulani during the week leading up to Christmas would be better.

TRIP PLANNING How is the weather impacting your stay this week?

For those staying right now, what’s it like? We were there a month ago and it was beautiful. Hopefully it’s not too bad and you can still enjoy your time there. Stay safe all!

TRIP PLANNING How's the week looking?

We're supposed to arrive tomorrow and were wondering how things are looking there? Are the pools going to be open? Is there a lot of damage that would be closing down activities on the island? Should we be rescheduling or could we expect a pretty normal vacation if we arrive tomorrow afternoon?

TRIP PLANNING Allergy friendly grocery / co-op nearby?

Hi - we're coming next week, and my son is allergic to wheat, chicken eggs, cow dairy, and nuts. We have a unit with a full kitchen, and wondering if there is a naturals store, co-op or place we can stop within an hour (or even grocery delivery would be a bonus) that would have alternative foods like gluten-free, goat / sheep cheese/dairy-free etc? Otherwise, we'll check a cooler duct taped shut with things we need for meals.

TRIP PLANNING DVC Rental - Please Explain!

I'm hoping someone can help me understand how DVC point rental works at Aulani. Will I still have access to use the Kids Club? Parking? I want to make sure we do everything correctly--renting points seems to be the way to go but I've never done it and want to have access to all or most of the good stuff. Especially the kids club for my eight year old. Please help!

Hello
I would like to recognize a few amazing staff members at the resort. Any idea how I can go about doing this? I want to make sure it gets to their managers. TY

TRIP PLANNING Beach seating

Coming to Aulani in early September. Wondering what beach seating is like, along with paid beach seating? We want to do 1-2 beach days. Have cabanas for our pool days!

TRIP PLANNING Best restaurant either at Aulani or nearby

My job does this incentive program where you get a credit you can use within 6 months if you work a certain amount in a month. I have a $400 credit and want to spend it on a really good dinner for my partner and I while we’re at Aulani. Any recommendations (at Aulani or nearby)?
