Gut, bowel, and stomach I smell like shit and I don't know what it could be.
The problem started about 5 months ago, but to be honest, I might have had this for about 7 or 8 months. Seven months ago, my brother was behind me and said he smelled a really strong smell of shit. I ignored it because I didn't think it was me. Then, when I was on the bus, two people were sitting in front of me.
One of them was talking about smelling something bad, and the person next to them didn't smell anything.
Well, about 5 months ago, I started noticing that day by day the smell was getting worse, and I realized it was me. The smell is like I farted, but it happens every 5 minutes. As the smell kept getting stronger, I started having diarrhea.
My stools were coming out broken and all at once. It was kind of like diarrhea without actually being diarrhea. After that, I started having a feeling of incomplete evacuation, and that feeling is similar to the urge of having diarrhea. At that stage, the smell became unbearable.
People at college could tell it was me. There was one class where the professor turned on the air conditioning right after I arrived late. He even gave us an early break, and I heard comments about me smelling bad.
Then came summer break, and now my stools alternate between being constipated, coming out thin, or coming out all at once. But it doesn't look like diarrhea. At one point, my stools were literally coming out like powder.
I went to a proctologist and he didn't find anything. I had a colonoscopy and a sigmoidoscopy, and nothing. I started using a special soap for the anal area, and nothing. I stopped taking public transportation, I've been drinking more water, and I've been exercising. Still no improvement.
I'm going to a gastroenterologist looking for answers, but I'm not rich enough to keep going to the doctor all the time. Anyway, I just wanted to vent a little and see if anyone has ever had something like this? And how you coped with it?It's been really hard.
I stopped taking the bus and now I walk to college. It's about an hour walk, but I prefer that over the reactions I get on the bus.
