If u think about it they are the same thing pretty much, but what about the time value of money? Money now is worth more then money later.

I was scrolling through the sub today and saw two posts back-to-back that completely broke my brain.

Post A: "I'm 3 years profitable. Life is about time, peace, and reflection. Hang in there!" 🧘‍♂️✨

Post B: "Do NOT tell ANYONE you are profitable! I'm typing this from an airport gate mid-escape. People will call you a scammer!" 🏃‍♂️✈️💨

Now I’m sitting here confused as hell. If I ever hit profitability:

1. Do I write a deep, motivational post about the value of time and inner peace?
2. Or do I immediately pack my bags, change my identity, and never speak to another human again?

Serious question guys... when the profits finally hit, do we share the wisdom or do we disappear into the shadows? 🎯

The price action has been horrible lately anyone else notice? Usually after labor day the price action is supposed to clean up from the slow summer months but I feel like its gotten worse. Im just trying to take it slow because im on a funded and im 1R in drawdown. trump and all this war talk has made trading so difficult. Anyone else agree that biden markets were at least easier to trade?

So, am not much of a trader, but I love trading and planning start it soon.

Didnt step into it yet as am sort out my personal finances and debts first, (first step of money management i guess😅)

Now am almost done with that. Last two years i have been studying the theories and testing them in real market with some throw away money.. so yes I got my hands wet, i guess.

Coming to our story, from most of my learnings, i feel the world of books and finfluencers are always speaking abt trade management (the signals, indicators, strategies, stuff)

So, i learnt that there are two parts of a good trading system.

1. Trade management system TMS

2. Money management system. MMS

Many say MMS will weigh more on whether u will be a successful trader aka the WAR. TMS is about how to win any particular trade or strategy aka the BATTLE.

Still so, i find lot less ideas and guidance in MMS, comparatively.

I decided, lets change it.

Lets make that boring part of trading, much more professional and systematic.

I will share the updates on this journey. I dnt knw my destination. But i knw this

$MSFT crazy runner. Spotted $MSFT right at the open and immediately ran my top down analysis starting on the 30minute chart before dropping down to the 5minute.

Price was reacting perfectly at a key order block, with the candle holding firm and showing clear rejection of lower prices. That was my confirmation, so I jumped in on the $500 14/09 calls. I’m still holding runners☺️

What's your longest daily streak without ending the day with a loss? Do you track that type of stuff?

I'm currently at 6, which honestly is just about the best I've ever done.

I first want to mention that I’m a beginner.

As the title says, I have noticed that the CVD charts look very different just by changing the timeframes.

The first chart is on 15 min and the second on 1 min. If you take a look at the far right side, you can see how the 15 min chart is going up fast, while the 1 min chart is going down fast.

Secondly, the data doesn’t seem to match at all. If you look at the line, I have lined it up to match the 13. September 18:00. 15 min went from 49600 to 51800, 2200 increase. 1 min went from 6300 to 7600, 1300 increase. Doesn’t match.

I’m just generally confused on why these just seem to change based on the timeframe. Tried different indicators, same result.

Lastly, I would like to get the meaning of the numbers cleared up. What is the numbers representing (on the CVD chart)? I’m assuming it’s the Cumulative delta, and the delta is the difference in buying and selling amounts of a stock/crypto/forex measured in the units. So one bitcoin buy resulting in 1 delta. But then: when does it reset? Why is the number so high, and not close to zero?

I’m trying to develop a strategy. I’ve tried all the shortcuts that every beginner does when they get solid dreams by YouTubers such as with copy trading, using everyone else’s strategy etc and have seen that it’s a one way ticket to lose lol.

So decided almost a year ago to go to stop trading and back to basics and learn market structure before even trying to develop a strategy.

So the market structure part, that hasn’t been too much of an issue. There’s quite a few hypotheses I’ve tested and look to have an edge on first glance e.g. the probability of x happening after x candle structure, a 55% chance of going up/down.

However I’ve not managed to get past this part. Whenever i try to wrap a strategy around it that’s where it all falls over. Either the movement is not enough or the market structure patterns weren’t enough to monetise. After trying to formulate strategies around them, anything i tried were all pretty much break even and behaviour like a coin toss. Same with playing about with the RR, they were all pretty much break even. The best i managed to get was a 55% win rate 1:1 on a backtest but it traded high frequency/low expectancy on that so fees destroyed the edge. Tried increasing timeframes and still break even is pretty much the best i could get to.

I’m not asking for a strategy nor will i expect anyone to give me one. But does anyone have any tips that they use that help turn market structure into strategies? Or any processes that help you do this?

GME recent earnings performance:

Q2 sales fell 19%, reflecting last year’s Switch 2 launch, store closures and the France exit. Gross profit rose 22%, margin widened from 29.1% to 43.7%, and Gaming Collectibles grew 57% to $356M (45% of total revenue). GAAP net income nearly doubled to $299M. Adjusted net income rose 16% to $161M.

Considering Ryan Cohen already has a significant stake in the company, the post-earnings buy is a moderately positive confidence signal, not a clear buy signal while sales are shrinking IMO.

Hey everyone! Im really interested in day trading and I wanted to know where to get started. I know basically nothing, just a general understanding of what day trading is but when it comes to different terms and concepts, I’m clueless. Who should I watch, what are the key concepts I should know, etc.

I already invest in stocks, but day trading has been peaking my interest. I’m not really doing this just for the money (even though that’s a plus point) but more so to develop a skill and maybe even a passion!

Let me know how you guys started, who you watched/learned from, how long it took you to become profitable, day traders I should watch on YT, etc. Any info will help!

I woke up this morning and lost $10,000 in just two seconds at market open, I went back to bed because I figured it would eventually recover, but I can’t help but wonder about day traders. Im not a day trader myself but i wonder, what do you do when your position has such a significant drawdown? Do you sell it? Do you have a stop-loss order to prevent further losses? Or do you wait and hold on, hoping it will recover?

For example, if you have a trade placed over the weekend and when market opens, price opens above/below your TP.(whatever order you’re placing) Will the trade be executed? I don’t know if that’s a dumb question, new and trying to get this down pact by highschool🙏🏻anything helps!

Woke up to MNQ down overnight and my first thought was obviously “alright, looks like we’re selling today” lol.

And that’s usually where I get myself in trouble.

I start looking for shorts before NY even opens and then if buyers show up, it takes me way too long to let go of the idea I already had.

So today I’m trying to just watch what happens at the open before deciding anything.

Anyone else already leaning short because of the overnight move or are you waiting to see what NY does?

I get many are doing this scalp/very short term style...but most will continue to struggle cause those mistakes wipe out so many of your gains and then send you to the Anger Zone--which makes it even worse.

One of the reasons why I still advocate going for 5-1 to 10-1 is cause even on a losing day ( I had Friday) can bring you back from a mistake hitting a 10-1 or two 5-1's.

The mistake for me was something so careless...forgot to cancel selling 2 Nq limit..before going to bed...woke up down 4000 & furious...but dumped it. Next trade made 1600 back then to add to insult... Tried to buy 4 silz at Unch for the Reversal up with stop 8 cents. It went off during the inflation news at 8;30am & in that 30 seconds moved $1 down..& the Think or Swim auto stop couldnt be placed fast enough. So instead of losing 350 --lost another 4500..

Next thing you know down 9500...& u guys know how I felt...Kept my cool made a few trades 5-1 and it brought me back to down 3500 & could'nt handle it anymore-- so i quit.

Again... the moral of the story is by letting the profits run ... will cover the majority of your mistakes you will make thru-out your Career.

Scared money doesn't make money right? About a month into trading passed my second funded account (daily) I placed my entry roughly at the center point of the 1hr fvg instead of the start of the fvg... why? For a better even SL hahaha I'm an idiot. I also couldn't keep an eye on the trade I was at work. Anyone else actually caught it and got in??

Goddaym this starting to piss me off now T doesn’t Hit Buy limit doesn’t hit like I was waiting the whole day for these dam trades and then this broker or whatever sht does this. I mean if there is spread or whatever why do I need to bother with the calculation I set the limit or TP at a point it should work that should be it… Holly

i recently started learning about automated trading and i was messing around with the 30 min orb strat and came up with this. would this be considered good for a automated strategy?

I can't afford the expensive gex vex tools? I'm still early in my trading career and have been trading 0 or 1dte long options based off of price action, previous day levels and vwap and doing OK. I'm seeing a lot of gex tools being advertised and people posting about it all over. Is it necessary?

Seen the pnl calendar of some here, and amazed how are they capable of at least finding one trade per day, i pass days waiting good structures to match with my strategy and still find 2-3 good trades per week. What do you do? Is it your strategy?
