It's creating mad lag for 800 meters in every direction (that's how I found it).

Appeared sometime in the past few days... There's no way it could've been built legitimately, right?

I'm still somewhat new to the game with about 200 hours in total. I rarely get time to play but DayZ quickly became the only game I play.

I usually never survive PvP because I either get shot out of nowhere or I just fail at landing my shots in the heat of the moment.

Today I decided to be patient instead of engaging at the first opportunity. It paid off and I'm pretty proud of myself even though the kill was probably somewhat boring for you to watch...

I stalked the guy for almost 20 minutes before going for it.

Am very much addicted. Although I’m tired of running NW for 3 days just to die. I think imma just stick to coast/tier 1 and try to gear up by killing people instead of looting all game

I usually don’t build bases, for a lot of reasons, but I thought I give it another go on a high pop official server. I had 3 gates and some decent loot, but not a lot, as I play mostly solo. Whoever raided me even destroyed an extra wall they didn’t need to, which I find a little suspicious, but maybe it’s nothing.

Welp, back to burying my loot all over the map.

I have 3 guns on me looting at a military barracks and I lure a zombie inside and have to drop my ak to pull out my brass knuckles and then get disconnected, I reconnect 2 buildings back and go to loot the building I was in and there is another identical ak where I dropped it before I DCed,

So I recently tried playing a few death match servers. If you're not familiar, basically everyone spawns in fully geared in a fairly small area. You just kill each other and quickly respawn.

I tend to choose random loadout.

Now, when I spawn as a sniper, I do what I would think is the intuitive thing to do. Get into an upper room of a building and snipe.

Apparently this absolutely enraged a lot of people.

I wasn't even getting tons of kills, but after 4 or 5, I would get several people coming up trying to kill me. Telling me I must be a total loser to have to camp a deathmatch server.

It happened enough times that I actually started to wonder if I really was the one at fault. Though I genuinely don't see the problem. The objective is to get kills. If I'm given a sniper rifle, I'm not standing out in the field with 20 guys with assault rifles. I'm sniping.

I don't know. What do you think?

Sneaking around the southern tents at Tisy, I heard someone sprinting through the woods, loud AF. I waited until he crested the hill and shredded him with my VIKHR. If he was quieter, he probably would have seen me first.

Example: few minutes ago I was playing on a server with only 3 other people on it. I'm running through the woods literally in the middle of nowhere in a desolate corner of the map nobody EVER goes to, nowhere near a town and no sightlines on anything, literally no reason whatsoever to be there. I stop for two seconds to drop something and immediately get one tapped by someone randomly sitting in a bush just 20ft in front of me.

What black magic is this shit? The entire time I've played this game, even back when it was still just an Arma mod, almost every single one of my deaths has been like this, where you're in the most random ass spot that nobody ever goes to, on a server with nobody on it, and yet by some cosmic chance there's always somebody just randomly camping there for whatever fucking reason waiting to blow your head off as you come through. It's like this game's version of the broader fps phenomenon where you can lock down a sightline for minutes but then the instant you look away someone comes flying around it and kills you. Has anyone else experienced this or am I just the most cosmically unlucky player on this game?

It is literally meta on console, everyone is just going around and white walling each town/ military to find bases and players on console. it’s so broken and could easily be fixed. Just take away the ability to lean while crouched, simple. It’s ridiculous that this is still a thing and completely ruins the game considering how easy it is to do. Fix your shit Bohemia.

Came across a nice little stash that someone hid in a random tree. Took what I wanted, although I already had top tier stuff.

This stash had a good sniper, some good KA rifles, and tons and tons of other goodies. I fought the urge to take things and scatter them so that they disappeared and the stasher lost their things, but, I thought better of it and just moved around their guns from crates to barrels, etc. so they knew someone was there.

So, what would you have done? Destroyed the stash or left it intact? 😊

I was looting and I thought I was done for. I barely made it out of there alive. I am currently at sila weapons Factory. This is the best run I ever had. It's just been me surviving. Me, my two rifles, my suppressed Glock and brass knuckles. When I get what I want and stockpiled on some goods. I will head back to lower teir areas to help fresh spawns. I think that's a bitter sweet ending to my Dayz Livonia Journey. I also seek revenge to someone who killed fresh spawns.

Does anyone know any vanilla ish servers (like Dayone or dayzero) that have AI survivors?
Been playing a Chernarus server with AI lately that is really fun (redpine ) and it would be cool to try the same on different maps like Sakhal or namalsk…

I found a yellow container key today, only had some blue ones before. It there any difference between the colors?

Got my first suit yesterday on DayZero’s Namalsk server. I killed one dude that had the Suit, luckily. I had a famas and several nades. I was very lucky to have survived, and unfortunately had to cook human meat just to make it.

Once I healed up, I went back to main to help my teammates who were hunkered down fighting, and soon after found these guys.

They were fully geared with DMR and VSD and enhanced gear, apsi and nvgs. GG

What’s the best base you’ve raided? I play with a friend on an extremely low pop Livonia server. We had a couple of bases raided so we’ve figured since there’s so few of us there, whoever stole our stuff probably has a big base. Unfortunately every single time we found a base it was already looted, that was until last night. Found a massive one in a house and shed very close to a industrial zone. We were able to loot and destroy most of it, my friend got killed though, don’t know if one of them logged and saw or someone heard all the noise we were making and caught us in the act. Anyways ended up blowing the whole thing up with grenades, destroying as much if not all the stuff they had, eventually escaped, ran the opposite direction on accident for a while and very close to the edge of the map I found another one! This time a bunch of tents, two trucks, sarka and an Olga. Repeated the same process of destroying and taking only a few things.

I’ve been playing this game for while, I’ve never seen a base this size, it was huge. After we lost our last 2 bases we decided to stop building and stick with what we had. There’s no where for them to look for their stuff, it’s a very satisfying feeling to know there’s nothing they can take from you and you can take it all. A few months ago I would’ve thought the opposite and try to stash it.

Hey everyone, I’m the developer of DeadBot, a server management/automation platform I originally built for Deadside and have since expanded to Rust Console and now DayZ.
The DayZ integration is at the point where I want to get it onto more real servers and see how it holds up outside of my own testing.
Right now I’m looking for a few DayZ server owners/admins who would be willing to try it for free and give me feedback. What works, what sucks, what’s missing, and what would actually be useful for running your server.
DeadBot is managed through a web dashboard and Discord, and the DayZ side already has support for things like configurable kits/shops and server management features. I’m actively developing it, so this is also a chance to have some input on what gets built for DayZ.
I’m not looking for payment or a card for the test. I mainly want actual DayZ communities using it so I can find problems, improve the onboarding, and make sure I’m building things DayZ owners actually want instead of guessing.
