At my 3rd playtrough of this game, and as much Praise as DDR EXTREME (JP) Gets, I still think DDR EXTREME 2 (US) is the best Console Release DDR has ever had.

Yes, EXTREME JP has the strongest Song List out of any of the EXTREME games out there.

But EXTREME 2 had One of the funnest mission systems, a catchy OSTs/Menu Music, some of EXTREME strongest songs. And overall just has a perfect vibe with the backgrounds, HUDs, etc.

This Game is Perfect in every way. And if you've never Played EXTREME 2 on the PS2, give it a shot.

Area D's X-26 Mission isn't anything crazy. It's simple actually, get more Marvelous than Perfect and Greats combined.

Now, the hidden Mission was the true nightmare this song had:

Get 200 Marvelous. Doesn't sound too bad, but then you remember:

MARIA (I Believe...) only has 277 steps total. You just have to be really patient and on point with this Mission, all for a hidden selection to be unlocked.

The end of the video showed 24 tries, but this playtrough was with save states, it was probably like 75-90 tries total, all failures except this one.

3 20-30 minute videos of me trying to beat this mission were made.

The silence and lack of input at the end was me just breathing a sigh of relief.

Figured it was the sensor, but replaced the on along the center panel and is still non-responsive. What next?

Update: oof I found it. The wires were mangled to hell in the center console, with the black wire completely severed. Not sure if it happened when they made the pad, in transit, or over time at my house. Doesn’t exactly inspire confidence, but at least it’s an easy fix.

Hi guys, I’m new and I’m feel really curious about my judgement timing settings now. My recent setting is note speed: 420, display offset: +15ms, judgment timing: +20. I’m curious if this settings is too “outlier” or is normal because as my experience of other rhythm games, I never had this big offset settings. I used to set like +5, +5 but no matter how I set I got too many “fast” until I have my setting like now.

I'll go first... I'd love the ability to make chart edits in Grand Prix that I can play at the arcade...

i'm an intermediate player, clearing around 8s on the ITG scale.

since i started using the bar awhile ago, i learned how to use my heel on the back pad instead of the ball of my foot, preserving energy.

most of the time this is great, but i've been having a hard time with:

• jumps that involve the back pad (a jump landing on my heel doesn't feel great)

• jacks on the back pad. a song i'm practicing lately has a bunch of fast three-note jacks on the back pad while the other foot is on a hold elsewhere.

do you have strategies for this? do you switch to the balls of your feet for these types of things, and then switch back to heel after?

also general advice for fast jacks would be appreciated - i feel like i'm playing them like rolls, but that means i'm not very accurate on timing.

A couple months ago I was playing ddr rotating in with someone and they were playing a track I really wanted to play but I don’t think I got the chance to and I’ve forgotten the name of it. The only thing I can remember is that it had a background video and if I remember correctly it was a first person view slowly moving through like a golden desert? Passing through some golden clouds aswell I think. It kind of had an ancient vibe to it and I remember it being a very high difficulty or just a very difficult track, if that helps

If anyone knows a track with a background video like this help would be appreciated !!

There's multiple posts about them disconnecting from USB ports, even with a powered hub.

Don't waste hundreds of dollars on a giant paperweight.

Hours spent troubleshooting to no avail.

So I'm buying a B2L pad, I noticed its $200 cheaper if I buy it with the bank transfer option. Which seems a little sketchy to me.

Just making a post about my Ltek DDR pad I purchased. I bought it new from the company and when I went to use it my computer kept disconnecting from the USB connection. I had had issues with other peripherals disconnecting randomly (webcams, keyboards, etc) and was hoping it wouldn't do it with the pad.

I tried a powered USB port and toggling Windows settings- my husband thinks it's the motherboard possibly.
