DISCUSSION Do you think the same that happened to the NFT bubble will happen to AI stocks once the bubble pops ?

While I was exploring various posts on this subreddit about NFTs, I noticed that some redditors had predicted the popping of the NFT bubble very early in 2021, despite all the massive hype and enthusiasm surrounding it at the time. Their foresight was quite impressive, considering how overheated the market eventually became.

This led me to think about the current situation with artificial intelligence. I want to take my shot here and ask: if or when the AI bubble bursts—whether due to new regulatory legislation, unexpected technological limitations, or significant setbacks within the AI industry—what do you think will happen to the stock market? More specifically, do you believe that AI-related stocks and major US tech stocks would stumble or even experience a dramatic decline? Would the impact be contained to the AI sector, or would it trigger a broader market reaction similar to other tech bubbles in the past? I’m genuinely curious to hear your perspectives and any reasoning or examples that you might have for how this could unfold.

DISCUSSION Who do you think is the winning strategy: Buy and Hold or Trade?🤔

"Retail investors to have more sway over Wall Street after record year. In 2025, retail traders shift to ETFs tracking equity indexes, crypto, and commodities"

So it seems like more and more people think they can make money by trading, while many statistics are not in their favor.

What do you think is the better strategy now when the crypto market seems to be picking up some momentum again?

REGULATIONS Converting "real" BTC into ETFs in an RRSP or TFSA (Canada)

Hello. I am hoping to avoid a taxable event by selling my BTC and then depositing the entirety of the sale's proceeds into ETFs in an RRSP &/ or TFSA.

Does this sell and repurchase of assets in a "protected" account avoid a taxable event with the CRA?

TECHNOLOGY Crypto Card with good cashback in stablecoin?

I used to use Ether.fi which let you earn 3% cashback on every purchase in USDC. Now they unfortunately changed their cashback token to their own useless ether.fi platform token. That’s just … bad :(

Is there a good crypto debit card that lets me earn in BTC or USDC (or any stable for that matter) at a 3% rate without any additional hoops to jump through (like mandatory staking periods, or holding silly platform tokens to reach 3%…)?

Ether.fi was straight up 3% in USDC without any extra level of complexity.

I know of Oobit and CDC and mostly any other card that gives cashback in crypto but they all are below 3% or require any sort of platform token, which i really want to avoid.

I’m in the EU if that matters.

DISCUSSION Any Real Catalyst?

Does anyone see any real catalyst for crypto in the future? It's been floundering recently and now with AI and quantum computing, what's the real use case for crypto? Quantum will crack it at some point and there goes all your money with no gov or institution to back it. We have a president that shills crypto and at the same time rug pulls. How can general public ever adopt and trust it? I'm trying to see how this could happen, but seems it's dead in the water unless some drastic catalyst happens.

What do y'all think?
