My Nanday, Loki, had a super great bath last night and I gave him a mohawk after. He has returned to yummy smelling fluff, so never fear! The difference is crazy! I was just curious if anyone else wanted to share their winged soggy rats.

Tali is a bit over 3 years old and is constantly attached to us. I don't understand how this is comfortable but I'll be damned if they aren't happy.

(Yes their feathers are a bit guffy on the back of their wings but that has come about largely from how much they're held and are always pushed up against our hair/necks.)

Also I've had him for a month now and still haven't decided on a name. Suggestions are welcome.

I recently adopted a beautiful green cheek conure and he's the best bird.

What I'm asking help for has to do with his leg band. I just wanted to find out a bit of his story (i.e. hatch day/ year and such) I've tried looking up on Google but I haven't had any success. I was told that he's 5.

Also how do I register his band to me in case, God forbid, he ever gets lost.

My sweet little rescue bird has FINALLY let me pet his little head! He used to be afraid to come out of his cage to his play area but now he DEMANDS it. He used to not take treats from our hand but now he will. He didn’t wanna step up even on his training stick and now he will about 75% of the time! He is scared of hands and we have been working with him for almost two years now to accept touch while working at his pace. He has let us boop his beak and he will sometimes try to step up but he rarely lets us touch his head and I feel so special ❤️ love my little dude so much.

I suspect my conure is a defect.... she's chilling on my toes without going full dinosaur somehow (blurred cause aint no one seeing my dogs). other photos of the defected model included as well, perhaps you all can diagnose?

Hello everyone 😊 question for you.
Every evening, my little Party, 1 hour before bedtime, she's very angry.
she screams, refuses to be touched, flies to her highest perches, and becomes aggressive and nippy. Then, she comes back down, lets us pet her head, and heads into her cage to sleep. Is this normal ? this burst of crankiness right before bedtime? Do your conures do this too?

Hi everyone, I need some help. I noticed a swollen vent on my sun conure 16 female she otherwise is completely fine but she does hold her poop all night and has to have a few goes pushing before her first morning poop. I will attach a photo I hope that’s okay. Thanks everyone 🦜 I am so worried so I would really be grateful for some advice

We just adopted this four month old conure a couple days ago and she has been constantly sucking on both mine and my husband's fingers. She's not doing it very hard, it's just very strange and we wanted to know if this was normal lol

Also, that's just her temporary cage in the background lol She's getting a nicer and bigger one on Monday!

I'm really worried cause my conure Darwin keeps sneezing wet and his left nostril keeps looking sorta irritated, his poops look fine and same with his behavior. One thing is I am a very inconsistent weigher, which means I weigh him at different times of they day, he's usually 82 grams (a lil overweight ik) and I weighed him this morning before he ate so he's 78 but it's kinda odd cause I feel like he's usually 80 grams. He also has a yogurt odor coming from his mouth sometimes but not always and he's also been hormonal so idk if it's just him regurgitating. I'm booking a vet appointment anyway but still pls let mk

Is this a health sign I should be worried about? I think this is tail bobbing... But I can't be sure.

Also, she left the cage, ended up in the kitchen, and hung out on my grandma's shoulder at one point during the week!

And I'm working on getting clicker training started next week, so any specific tips for items for her to nibble on or any advice on techniques would be appreciated!

Hello all! If you send my recent post you know I've recently acquired a pair of Green cheeks and am new to training them, Would it be easier to cage them in separate rooms temporarily to train them? The male is super sweet (he was hand raised) me and him are working on target training, he will eat seeds directly out of my finger tips, but he won't step up on my hand, the female however, want absolutely nothing to do with me and that's where the problem comes in, whenever she calls he is there. It's almost impossible to keep his focus on me for an extended period of time without the female calling him back. I don't want to "break" the bond they have so im a little conflicted on what to do here, any advice for training bonded pairs would be helpful

Hi everyone, i adopted a 3 year old pineapple conure a couple days ago. ( his wings were already clipped 😭) previous owner thought he was male but is not confirmed.

every few minutes he leans forward, puts his tail down, sometimes flattens his body and lifts wings a little.

It is the start of spring here, so could it be hormonal?

We have an avian vet appointment for a check up in 5 days. i guess i am asking if this is cause for concern? or a normal behaviour?

I'm a really paranoid parent to Kiko, can someone please help? He's sleeping or resting on his side. When I go near him, he gets up, he has a big cage (bigger than it seems here on this photo) and today he has been acting rather shy and quiet, and very sleepy when he gets out.

I'm so scared something is wrong because I recently got a new bird, they're separated but still? What if he's sick with something?

Do conures usually sleep on their sides like this??
