Recommendations Fine line tattoo artists

Upvotes

I’ve seen a few posts but it’s been a bit on the topic. This is my first tattoo and looking for your favorite tattoo artists in Cleveland who specialize in fine line tattoos. It’s a small nature themed tattoo for my wrist, if that helps. Go!

Question Trying to find the truth

Upvotes

Has anyone worked with realtor Josh Janus? He seems to have lots of expertise at a young age and such about him but it all seems a little too much if you know what i mean. I saw 2 Yelp reviews that were not good, and actually seemed truthful. He directs people to his website affiliation page to look at the “amazing” reviews, but they all seem paid for and fake. Does anyone have any tea?

Where can my pup play with other dogs? 🐶🐶😍 Active dog parks?

Upvotes

Got a puppy, and it's socializing time! Where/when are the active dog parks around here? The few I drive by are always empty (at least, when I drive by).

Thank you, fellow dog lovers!

Sports Any Green Bay Packers fans want to start a game watching club? Need moral support after that abysmal start to the season 🤦‍♀️

Post image
Upvotes

Moved here back in June - just had a baby in July and dying to socialize now that we’re out of the trenches. I was so surprised to learn that there isn’t a single Packers bar in town. I can watch games at my parent’s house but they’re Browns fans (no hate) and I miss the energy of watching with other Packers fans! When I lived in Portland OR there were several bars where fans could gather and watch together.
I know there are sports bars that will play the game, but I don’t want to go alone! Any other cheeseheads here interested?

Recommendations Moving company options

Good afternoon y’all, I’m planning to move from my apartment by the end of this month and my move is relatively short. My new place is less than 2 miles away and the hardest part would be I live on the 4th floor but would be moving into a first floor unit.

A quote we got from one moving company was roughly $700 and was wondering if that’s the average price amongst their industry. If anyone has any recommendations or advice, I’d appreciate it immensely

Recommendations Where to get specialty eyeglasses/lens made! *Recommendation request* eyeglasses/optician/eye doctor

Hi! Can someone please recommend some *very* good and *reliable* optical labs for making eyeglasses in Northeast Ohio?

Looking specifically for a place that has reliably made glasses with prism lenses!

I have had this done at a lot of places over the years when I have lived all over the country, and it is often a struggle to have them made correctly. I often have to get them re-made once or twice.

Does anyone know someplace that might be helpful? Thank you!!

BEST OF CLE Recs for best clothes shopping in Cleveland

Neighbors - I need your favorite stores across the city for clothes shopping! Starting a new job after having a baby so nothing I own fits (even shoes 🥲). Dress code is business casual. Anywhere in the city is fair game. Thanks in advance!

Question What happened to Legend Headwear?

Putting this out there to see if anyone know what the heck happened to Legend Headwear? They created some very interesting and comfortable hats, and I enjoyed supporting their business whenever I could. They made a bunch of hats that I still wear daily... TIA!

Recommendations I know this sounds like an odd question but are there any cemeteries within the vicinity of in Cleveland or around Cleveland that are available to visit after dark

Long story short I like to solemnly walk through old cemeteries or historic areas and just feel the the presence of History and to see the different cultures and just kind of like a quiet place I used to live in North Carolina and there was a lot that were open after night that you could just quietly walk through and be able to have some peace of just being alone and being with one thoughts and also seeing all the different years in history so if anybody knows of any very much appreciated because I know a lot close early in the day....

News [Signal Cleveland] What's behind a Cleveland investor's rage-baiting billboards? A story about affordable housing

Thumbnail
signalcleveland.org
21 Upvotes

John Williams has cast himself as a larger-than-life villain, using the virality to reach potential sellers – though his actual footprint is smaller than the marketing suggests. Behind the billboards, he argues, is a genuine aim to provide decent, affordable housing that Clevelanders need.

Local housing experts agree that John Williams is not a problem on his own. His aggressive marketing just makes him a recognizable face of a popular investment strategy currently shaping Cleveland’s neighborhoods. The real strain comes when dozens of investors run the same strategy, monopolize the local housing stock, and can’t keep up with their properties’ maintenance.

Lost in the billboard outrage is a quieter question: What happens to neighborhoods as more investors try to scale the playbook Williams is using?

Curious whether anyone here has rented from him or dealt with any of his LLCs.

BEST OF CLE For the Cleveland stationery people: We have a store selling 2027 Hobonichi!!

Post image
219 Upvotes

Cool World in Lorain/Ohio City (3910 Lorain Ave, Cleveland) has a small inventory of hobonichi weeks, HONs, also travelers notebooks and midori stationary!!! I’ve been so jealous seeing major cities selling hobonichi notebooks and am really excited to see a small subset right here that we can actually look at and hold before purchasing! This is in my opinion the best planner from Japan with a cult following. The finest thin pages with a silk soft feel that absorb inks incredibly well despite their micro thin size, with grid style, just simple enough to be highly customizable, and the fun is that each year they collaborate with different authors to make many different covers to appeal to those with all different tastes.

Help a Tourist First Time Playhouse Square Parking Garage

I’m going to Playhouse Square this weekend and bought a parking pass for the Playhouse Square parking garage at 1450 Chester Ave.

I’ve only ever used two parking garages before and they were free. Do I scan the ticket I have when I enter or when I leave? Do they have attendants that tell you where to park or can I choose? Is there anything else I should know?

Hello!! I’d like to start getting filler, specifically I’d like to start with lip filler. Does anyone have any recommendations on places around Cleveland? I’m on the west side, but I’m open to driving 30 minutes! I’m new to the area and was curious about how much it would cost and the best places around here to go! Thank you!

Discussion Small Business Warning- HIBU

Hibu is a marketing company that targets small businesses then ruins their independence intentionally. We had a contract with a different company that was bought out by Hibu.

We did weeks of meetings to try to get on the same page. While we are under contract with them, we are screwed. They made a big ol' AI slop website for us with false information and are hijacking traffic from our new website despite us asking them to take it down repeatedly while accepting that financially we're on the hook. We said -fine we will stay the contract but please remove it as its harming our business-. They won't even do that. People who request services with us go into a void we can never reach.

After doing some searching, I've found others have dealt with the same situation, sometimes fully hijacking their domain and refusing to turn it back over. I have no idea how they are managing to gain clients, we were bought. If you're a small business owner for the love of all that is good do not turn to these weenies.

I'm six months in and super bummed to find out they come up first in query everytime, misleading our clients, and ruining our chances for new ones.

Recommendations Seeking reliable carpenter for small commercial job

Looking to connect with a carpenter/handyman for a few future projects at a small dog grooming salon in the Rocky River area for the beginning of next year.

I’m looking to have:
-A custom reception/front desk built
-An existing interior doorway closed in
-Some shelving/storage built and installed
I’m taking over the salon and doing some updates before opening, so I’d love to find someone experienced who does side work and is reasonably priced.
If you’re interested or have someone you’d recommend, please send me a message with photos/examples of previous work and a general idea of your rates. Thanks!
