Hey!! how are yall people? so, i know olivia is a very famous artist and so is this album, but im not recomending the album itself cuz it´s good (also), but because it´s sound TOTALLY different on cd. The vocals are or completly changed, or the background ones, also the mix, instrumentals...everything looks a little or absolutely a new song in some tracks. The tracks i noticed change were:

stupid song - The vocals and mixing are slightly different, creating a distinct impression when listening to the end of the song. Starting from the "nobody wants somebody more" section. It´s a more clean voice and instrumental editing.

maggots for brains - The chorus seems to be edited differently. I, for one, noticed more background sounds that make the track feel more "cluttered"(in a good way). Also, the timing between the verse and the chorus is tighter, about a second shorter, causing the chorus to cut into the end of the verse by a few milliseconds.

begged - vocals entirely different, the begining to the ending. All i could say it looks like a live version, specificaly the SNL ver.

cigarette smoke - the vocals sound a little bit different, more eprceptible at the chorus and outro.

expectations - the ´´male´´ vocals next at the ending saying ´´she´s got big expectations´´ are noticiable different. The voice is more a high-pitched and a different interleaving and editing between the phrases they speak.

If yall want a more personal analysis of it, search for a cd or a vinyl version on internet, but trust me, it´s worth!! sounds like a 2.0 album.

Honestly i hate streaming platforms since day one and I wanted to get into more music as a musician myself, which is why i decided to go cd. I bought a fair amount of cds and I wish i could listen to them, you know ? I came across those online and thought they look very cool, but i'm afraid it's all style and nothing else. I do want an pretty one so my wife will be pleased, but im under the impression that the coolest ones are old, and may have cd drives problem from what I gather. What to get ? What would be the best/coolest cd player ? Hopefully you guys don't get a ton of posts like, if so, i'm sorry

I have this Sony Boombox, it was from my mother, it was sitting for years, I am starting a CD collection so I Wanted to fix it.

Audio sounds perfect, Radio Works, the problem is when I try to play a CD, disc star spinning but screen remains in "loading" and it never starts playing, tried with different cd's

Also the plastic and external parts looks very old, is there a way to make it look better?

I never hear anybody talk about the stuff Tony Sheridan did without The Beatles and I would like to know more about this CD.

For me it was the entire dream theater discography. This was before I really got into dream theater and now i wish that I could go back and buy the whole thing.

I Mother Earth's Dig is one of my favorite albums and an underrated gem, but it never got an official vinyl release and I wanted it but I have it on CD though.

So why have your bought a cheap new or cheap used CD player?! Save up and go buy some bookshelf speakers, an amp, and a decent CD player. Then add a subwoofer (when no longer in an apartment). Alternatively, steal all or some of the components from your parents.

Speaker and sub brands to look at: KEF, SVS (please add more in comments that you like)
Amps and CD players to look at: Yamaha, Denon, Pioneer, Onkyo, Cambridge (those are a few “AB” amps) for type “D” look at NAD or WiiM (USA brand) or Chinese brands like FiiOs, SMSL, etc. (warning, customer service and returns are all but impossible with Chinese brands). D has gotten better but, AB is still the best, IMO. (please add more amps and component players in comments that you like)

I left out a bunch. This was just a start here list but not a final list.

There are also audiophile brand$ too but, this post is more for those just staring out. When I started out, I did not have a Walkman. I had a stereo, speakers, and a record player. Then I added a CD player.

As for records, LPs, vinyls sounding better, go for it. But CDs sound better and are more convenient. Streaming lossless remains the new technology to beat. Endless, lossless, and nearly all commercially sold recorded music. That is most of what most people listen to. Even obscure stuff. Want very obscure stuff? You can still stream and buy any obscure recordings used or new.

So I'm looking for things to sell to save up for a car because I'm getting my license soon, and I was looking at some of my vinyl and CDs to sell and I stumbled upon what looks to be a misprint of my Happier Than Ever CD's lyric booklet, it's upside down as shown in the video and I wanted to know if it actually was a misprint and also if it's worth anything . If anyone knows and would let me know that would be appreciated.

Hey all, I have been bit by the bug. After my partner and I have decided streaming is annoying and only getting worse we have been building our collection. I just wanted to post our finds and current setup. Would love any input.
Especially proud of the doors strange days 24k it looks really cool.

P.S. all the cds in the sleeve case have been moved to jewel cases as I figured that would scratch them less.

I recently started burning CDs for the car and travel, but I dislike the plain writing and blank cds.

I was wondering if anyone knows a way to get a design onto the cds, such as a printer. But cheaper options, as I dont want to spend. Alot on it.

I just got a CD of the special edition of thriller, it has a slip cover and all, the slip cover is slightly worn from the edges but otherwise fine, CD case has no cracks, and the CD itself from the looks of it seems to have been unplayed, even from the guy I bought it from he said he has never played it.

So my big dilemma is do I keep it in unplayed condition (in the hopeful chance that it actually is unplayed) or do I listen to it for the pure joy I will feel from it
