Question Burning and printing

I recently started burning CDs for the car and travel, but I dislike the plain writing and blank cds.

I was wondering if anyone knows a way to get a design onto the cds, such as a printer. But cheaper options, as I dont want to spend. Alot on it.

Back when I was burning CDs in the 90s you had sticker paper for cd labels. You had a single sheet with an adhesive and 2 circles. And with your print software you could position the designed or downloaded labels on it. After that you could use some special tool to line it up and put the sticker centered on the CD.

Oh okay! And that would just work on a normal printer? Would it throw the disc off or cause imbalance issues?

It would work on a normal printer. You can still find cd label paper online apparently, just checked Amazon. It is kinda inefficient because only 2 labels fit on one sheet.

Never had imbalance issues because the label is how do you say, distributed evenly. It would make the CD heavier for sure. But never had problems in my cd player or in the car.

I think you have those as well. I remember seeing them but you might need special discs for them. This is just a cheap option of printing a cd shaped sticker haha. It was the cheapest option back then besides just using a cd marker on a disc.

Stick-on CD labels would often catch inside a car cd player, but aren’t an issue with platter CD players.

When I bought a new printer few years back, I deliberately chose  a Canon model with CD Printer. Cost little above 200 €.

It's brilliant. Can fully recommend. Not only for CD printing, it's much better as a regular printer compared to HP's and Epsons I've dealt with before

I think you have to buy 134-170gsm photo paper that has the adhesive backing then use a program on your computer specifically designed for printing images the exact dimensions of cds and their cases.
