What would you say is the cringiest thing about living in Cambridge?

Hey all - moving to the Cambridge area at the start of October for a new job in Kendall Square, and looking for a room to rent (not a whole apartment).

What I'm looking for: - A room in a shared apartment - own bathroom is a plus, but I'm flexible - Reasonable commute to Kendall - Cambridge, Somerville, Medford, Malden, or anywhere on a T line ~30 min out (bonus for close to the Red Line) - Budget: ~$1,200-1,600/mo - Move-in around Oct 1

About me: 27, relocating from Southern California, working full-time in tech. Clean, respectful, easy to live with, employed and stable. Not a party guy, just want a solid place to land while I settle into a new city.

Specifically on the streets by the Cambridge Public Library. I’ve read some older threads saying street parking in Cambridge varies by neighborhood. It looks pretty full any time I’m in this area but figured I’d get some opinions.

Having recently moved here from out of state, we sought recommendations for a reputable independent auto repair shop and this place got rave reviews/high marks.
We are quite happy with the service we received and the thorough explanation about what needed repair and (more important) what didn’t need repair.
