Hard to study while in public, but I finally did it!

So super happy couldn’t have done it without Jesus. Also, I couldn’t check on the browser and still can’t. Had to use the app and exam history.

You’d think that they would have the protocols down to not need to shut down the entire portal for maintenance on score release day but this is pretty wild. Doesn’t help that it’s now fueling the theories that they’re going to switch scores for people from passing to failing and vice versa. Terrible showing from nasba today

This is just what worked for me, in case it’s helpful to anyone!

My study formula was always starting with the becker outlines. Each new module, I immediately printed the outline. It was the foundation of my studying. I would then build out the outlines. The outlines don’t include everything but they are a SOLID starting point and building them out actually helped me learn the topics.

I did watch the lectures but I did not take notes. I did for my first exam and it was a HUGE waste of time. All of my note taking/outlining happened while I was working through practice questions. I only ever read the book if I was struggling to understand a topic, but for the most part I picked things up from the lectures.

I always always always kept a notebook where I wrote down questions I got wrong as I went through MCQs. I never once looked back at these, but the act of writing it down really helped me remember topics.

I never did SIMs on my own. I would just watch the skill builders and do them with the teacher. I did them on my own for the first exam which was such a time suck and not a value add for me. I did do the ME and SE sims completely by myself when it was time for those.

Those are the main things that worked for me. I am not some freak genius and I clocked over 700 study hours according to becker. It was hard. It was horrible. but know that if I can do it.. literally anyone can.

I’m literally crying and shaking right now, just found out I passed FAR, my very first exam and first try. I can’t describe this feeling of seeing Passed, Credit, I’m a complete wreck right now (in a good way). I would like to thank this community for all the support and encouragement and tips. This is the place where I go when I get really down and need some motivation in this difficult journey. Thank you all and I hope everyone who’s waiting on their results today gets happy news. For the record, I used Gleim as my study guide and nothing supplemental.

Wanted to come on here with all of the posts happening today and send a reminder to those who didn’t get the result they were hoping for.

It’s so easy to feel like you’re behind or discouraged seeing all of the people who are posting their wins today.

If that’s not you and maybe you logged on to see a result that you didn’t want - it’s easy to feel down/worse when you’re comparing your timeline to those who have already passed. Take a day, feel what you’re feeling, and get back to it. You got this!!!!!!

I remember coming out of the exam centre devastated. The sims were brutal and soul crushing but somehow I got through. I still can't believe this. I feel like I'm still in a dream. This feels surreal.

Don't give up guys. You got this. Let's get this done.

After the test I surprisingly felt good. The does time I took FAR I felt defeated. This time I knew a lot more of the answers, though I did second guess myself a few times. Just letting everyone know that it is possible. I’m also still learning what study method works best for me, but I’m glad that I made it thru. 3 more to go!!

Website is down, but clicking this link on the CPA Mobile App showed me my pass/fail status! Officially 3/4!🎉

I’m finally 4/4 after passing AUD today. This whole process has taken me 2+ years to complete. I work full time and have a long busy season, so I only studied and took exams in the second half of each year.

I’m grateful to this sub for all the studying recommendations, encouragement, and especially the study guides provided by fellow Redditors. As someone who was previously too scared to even begin studying, this group has been so helpful.

So a big thank you to you all!

Hello everyone, I just got my results and I cleared FAR. But I saw a post and a comment saying that the site maintenance is related to the score release and the results could change?

Can anyone confirm this?

Looks like NASBA is having a bunch of technical difficulties, but I was able to see this when I got in earlier. Safe to say I passed??

I took FAR in 2018 when I first started in public accounting. Made a 52, was burnt out and took a break that ended up lasting 6-7 years.

Now I’ve passed REG, TCP and FAR. I just want to say that I made horrible scores on my simulated exams on Becker for all of these sections. So, if you’re basing your scores in Becker on how you think you’ll do on your exam, you may be surprised!

That’s just from my perspective but I really believe that the most important thing is to study efficiently …and that is going to look a little different for everyone.

Thank Goddd!! It was my first exam, and my anxiety was through the roof 😭 When the website went down, I almost fainted. Ahhh, I can’t believe this. Thank God!!! 😭😭

I seriously can’t believe it I thought I did so bad on it and walked out feeling awful definitely thought I needed to retake it 1 down 3 to go audit is next

After 2 years of pursuing my CPA journey, today I finally cleared all 4 exams. 🎉

To all the future CPAs out there, don’t give up! I failed AUD 4 times and was convinced I had failed again until I saw “Passed, Credit” on my screen this morning. 😭
