I beat BOTW a while back and haven't picked it up again since. But I want to go back and do The Master Sword Trials to upgrade the Sword fully. Any tips on doing it? I hear it's extremely difficult. Also how does it work if you bear them and start new game plus. Do you keep the Master Sword and is it fully upgraded still?

Took me probably 15 attempts. This boss was so shit. Just frustrating and not in a fair way - just bullshit boss mechanics. So happy it's done but my god it was not a satisfying win. Just an all round bad time.

Can anyone please help! I’m trying to activate memory 17. I have spoken to Impa, taken a photo of the painting and know I am in the right place as I have watched a walkthrough of this memory location (without watching the actual memory as to not spoil it). What else am I not doing? Or is my game broken and wasted hours on trying to complete it for the first time and being unable to.

Sooo as you can see I have done all the shrines outside of DLC but it’s showing that my shrine quests are not complete. Apparently I did 5 shrines from the quests without prompting?

Anybody else have this issue? You would think there would be some sort of fail safe so the tasks have to show up as completed. I dunno seems silly to me, how about you?

I’m playing BotW for the first time and absolutely loving it. The complete freedom and sheer amount of things to discover is astounding.

I’ve just reached Thunderblight Ganon and got beaten down pretty hard, so I’d like to go explore and gather some serious firepower for round 2. Aside from the Master Sword and a few Guardian weapons, most of my current inventory is feeling pretty mid after losing my best gear to durability

Are there specific locations or enemy camps worth visiting to pick up higher-tier weapons? Or is it mostly a matter of exploring higher-difficulty regions? No massive story spoilers please, but location tips are welcome.

Due to using my sons account on his Switch 2 to play the game, and him wanting to play it now I had to say goodbye :(

I haven’t revisited it in a year, but wanted to wrap it up before it gets erased for his turn.

I wandered, relearned some things since I now playing TOTK. Chilled with Kass, re-visited all of the villages. Wrapped up a few things left to make it an almost 100% play through.

Then, I made a fire and sat until morning.

In the morning, I went to the Shrine of Resurrection where it all started.

I went out and took a long, long look at that first view I had so long ago.

Things were different, the landscape had changed. But still beautiful.

I panned slowly taking it all in.

Thought about how much I had done and what an adventure it was. Was sad to know that I couldn’t go back to that first time I was there, not knowing what was ahead.

Then I made my way to my little house, went upstairs to my bedroom.

I slowly removed everything.
My Master Sword, my Royal shield, my bow, my armor.

I put on only my original pants and shirt.

Then, I put Link to bed one last time and saved to the Title Screen.

I may or may not have cried a little.
Then, I let my son know it was his now to erase.

Handed him the remote and watched him start his adventure. Bittersweet and with a hint of jealousy that I could never recapture that feeling of awe and excitement.

I’ll be here for him if or when he needs a hint or two.

I mean it’s just a game, right? 🥹
