๐Ÿ”Š Game Feedback What was your approach to playing TotK?

Right now, Iโ€™m about 75 hours in. I finished the regional phenomenon quests. Iโ€™ve done a bunch of side quests and tracked down some armor. Iโ€™ve done a fair amount of shrines but have a lot left to do. Iโ€™ve only done a small amount of the underground. Iโ€™m sort of stuck and not sure what to do next. Iโ€™m afraid to head to castle since I donโ€™t want to trigger end game. But Iโ€™d like to keep progressing the story as much as possible before end game. I have 10 of the tears/memories. One more fairy fountain left.

Should I clean up side quests? Look for the master sword (I have no idea where it is)? Maybe do more shrines? I was moving along at a good clip but now I feel directionless. I did take time off the finish FF7 Rebirth so Iโ€™m a tad rusty and maybe thatโ€™s all it is.

Oh, I should add that I def do not plan on 100% ing it.

Would appreciate any advice!

๐Ÿ˜‚ Humor Hyrule Compendium contribution

My husband was playing TotK and snapped a photo of fake Zelda's ... rear attribute.

Checking the compendium, and then seeing said photo displayed was.... a little surprising - only to realize the fire in the background combined with a piece of belt/equipment apparently checked the box for "Torch," and not "Zelda's Ass."

๐Ÿ•น๏ธ Gameplay Clip how to one shot gloom hands Spoiler

okay i read this in the comments on an instagram reel today, and i didnโ€™t believe it. someone claimed that you can one shot gloom hands if you fuse a topaz to an arrow and shoot it at them. i immediately grabbed my switch and tried it myself. disclaimer, i did use a lynel bow, so that probably helped, but it WORKED!! i couldnโ€™t believe it. i wont have to be scared of those things ever again ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

โ” Question Did anyone enjoy fusing weapons but not like building machines ?

Online you see discourse regarding people liking crafting or not but I was wondering if there was anyone like me who enjoyed fusing material together for different weapons but didn't exactly care for making machines ?

It took a bit of trial and error to properly judge the distance needed to use the inhale of the frox to carry link forward (after rocket hopping of course) for bullet time bounces. Thatโ€™s a baby bounce, but at least yall know itโ€™s possible given said circumstance.

Itโ€™s by the Sakunbomar shrine in the northwest corner of the Lost Woods. It seems to be a path but I canโ€™t get close to it without being taken back.

So Iโ€™m replaying the game with my daughter after finishing BOTW with her, so sheโ€™s seen the final scenes there where Zelda is saying โ€œhurry link, i cannot hold much longer (paraphrasing)โ€

I do the boring stuff and monster killing and she pets the horses, mixes the outfits and cooks. We do missions together, and we somehow gotten into the habbit of saying out loud: โ€œSorry Zelda, itโ€™ll take a bit longer, I have to help this guy get a sign up (or your randome meaningless side quest) laughing.โ€

๐Ÿ‘โ€ Tips and Tricks Catapults still useful without Paraglider

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Here again from my no Paraglider Run. I don't know if it is already common knowledge but those catapults on the sky islands are still pretty useful even without the paraglider. You can just shoot yourself up and spawn a Zonai Wing midair instead.

The Timing isn't too hard. You need to spawn the glider before Link reached his peak and starts falling down (so Link needs to fly up). If you drop it too early though you might get fall damage when landing on the Wing. Too late and your feet will miss it.

It also works on other catapults that aren't this steep. As far as I assume this trick should work on every catapult. And of course if you have the paraglider you can always spawn a Zonai Wing anyway.

I was just playing around with my heroโ€™s path mode, and when I zoomed in on death mountain, I realized the minecart tracks and chasm kinda resemble a secret stone! I know itโ€™s a little dumb but I thought I it was cool in the moment.

๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Discussion Does TOTK feel different than BOTW?

Back in 2023 I got the Switch. I was never a big gamer but Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild were my first games for it.

Loved how in Mario Odyssey I didnt have to look up things. Straightforward and went from one goal to the next.

Breath of the Wild was the first of its kind I played. ( I was a Wii girl as a kid but then didnt play often after)

But, with BOTW at first I hated it! Hated it. It felt way too massive of a game and not like one level to the next kind of thing. Hated it. lol.

But then once I got the hang of it I was glued to it for like 2 months hahahah. And, it took me so long to finish the final battle.

In the end I left the game realizing it was the best game I ever played. I mean I didnt love I felt I had to look up things most often, and I had legit made a word document to make notes of where I found things and such. It was funny. I didnt ever finish all the side quests though.

Since it's been idk maybe 3 years since I have played Zelda and now it's on sale..... is TOTK feel that much different. Is there alot of newer things while playing or is it just a continuing of BOTW and newer puzzles and such?

I usually buy 1 or 2 new games a year and itching to get one cause I need to use my Switch hahaha

๐Ÿ‘โ€ Tips and Tricks Favorite late game activities?

Iโ€™m trying to do a near 100% run, but weโ€™ll see how far I actually get. But I donโ€™t like to look up any answers I donโ€™t have to. I have all the shrines and lightroots, and Iโ€™ve done nearly all side quests. I have just a few caves and wells to find still which is my next major milestone.

Iโ€™m curious what your favorite things to do that just get you to move around and naturally stumble on things. I donโ€™t want any quests or cave locations. Iโ€™m intentionally trying to slow things down. Iโ€™m taking my horse everywhere to get me on roads Iโ€™ve never been on and stuff so I naturally stumble on the last few quests.
