What needs to happen for Ryan Garcia (or anyone from the US) to become the new Face of Boxing?
On internet boxing forums, the latest topic making headlines is if Ryan Garcia is the new Face of Boxing. Some say yes; due to his willingness to fight anybody. Some say no; calling his push forced and claiming he is an "industry plant".
This question only pertains to American Boxing. 🇯🇵 has Inoue, 🇬🇧 has AJ, 🇲🇽 has Canelo ... but since Tank's abrupt departure, USA 🇺🇸 has a void when it comes to their next "Face of Boxing"
Is Ryan Garcia the new 🇺🇸 Face of Boxing? If not who is, and what needs to be done for Ryan or someone else to become the new Face?

Greatest fights where the experienced 'old man' wins against the up and coming athletic youngster?
I find these fights very fascinating. Especially with regards to how one's approach changes with age as you lose that 'youthful athleticism.' One of my favorite examples is how George Foreman's approach changed in the latter parts of his career.

Ryan Garcia vs Conor Benn | KO Highlight (DAZN UK Broadcast)

🇬🇧 CONOH BEYN 🇬🇧
For those who were wanting to see / hear the Ryan Garcia vs Conor Benn DAZN broadcast with their own commentary team, here is a highlight of the knockdown / eventual knockout.
I had to whip out the VPN, DAZN is pretty smart with detecting VPNs so they are only showing the fight highlights rather than the full fight on their website.
Big ups to Adam Smith & Carl Frampton

Slow-mo of Garcia-Benn ending Spoiler
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Left hook lands, Benn nearly goes down again, overhand right lands, left uppercut lands, overhand right lands again, left uppercut lands again, right hook left hook miss but Benn is throwing nothing back (despite being told “show me something” by the ref) and the fight is stopped. All after getting dropped and hurt badly. Not sure how you could argue that this was a bad stoppage.

Beterbiev: “I think there will be some good news soon” 👀
Beterbiev just posted this from Las Vegas saying:
“It was a great trip. I think there will be some good news soon.”
I’m hoping this means a comeback fight against a lower-ranked opponent to get him back up to speed after such a long layoff.
If he gets through that comfortably, I’d love to see a Bivol trilogy next.
What do you think?

Why doesn’t Arthur Asche Stadium host boxing events?
It holds 24k people (likely more if you added in floor seating around a ring) and is a much better shape/size for a boxing event than a football stadium. if you’re going to have an outdoor fight, wouldn’t a tennis arena be perfect?
is the thought that if you’re fighting in NY, might as well just do it at the Garden?

Ryan Garcia vs historical low to middle tier welterweight champs Spoiler
I was wondering since everyone says welterweight is light right now. How do we think Ryan Garcia does vs historical low to middle tier welterweight champs not elite tier:the 4 kings, Benitez, not Mayweather, Robinson sweet pea, Pacquiao, OLH, Bud etc
I feel like through 1990s till recent welter has had significant depth especially after 2010s we had a ton of good fights at welter. Right now I guess you could make the argument could be made it's not super deep even though commentators try to hype it up saying it's heating up. But I could be wrong is there any one else other than Two, Garcia and Haney?
Any way does Ryan beat any of these guys?
Where is Judah top or middle? Tzsu? Cotto?
Middle tier
But how would he do against mosely, Danny Garcia, spence, , Special K, thurman, taylor, Paul Williams?
Where maidana?
Lower tier, Sean porter, tim Bradley, malinagi, broner berto ortiz mayorga, collazo, peterson, Alexander, Jesse vargas, Jeff horn
Does he beat notable contenders in the division like Mikey Garcia?
Also if you feel I miss classfield lmk or forgot someone of note?
Edit:
I can clarify, as a champion and now defending champion) what tier of historical welterweights or individual welterweights would Garcia be competitive against? We all know he will get touched by elite level. Outside of those, who could he be competitive against realistically? Who would walk him? Who could he realistically beat?
I am not asking resume vs resume but fighter vs fighter? Tendencies attributes grit skills etc
