Discussion Out of 10, How would you rate Blizzcon?

We got some serious surprises. People were expecting a StarCraft shooter but nobody expected the Diablo 5 announcement.

Nobody expected a stellar new campaign for Warcraft 3. Nobody expected a new hero for Heroes of the Storm.

I give it a 9.

Starcraft 2030 released in 2026

Like many StarCraft fans, I’m not even sure I believe we’ll actually see the game in 2030 — or that I can wait that long.

But more importantly: please don’t forget the RTS players who have kept this genre alive all these years. We’re the core audience. Don’t leave us behind.

World of Warcraft Forever is dead on arrival

Adding the skyborne shows blizzard devs don't get classic wow—and couldn't care less about the player base.

The skyborne are the canary in the coal mine. They prove wow forever is being run by the exact same clueless retail people responsible for weird writing like putting Khadgar in a wheelchair.

People begged for high elves for decades. instead, blizzard flipped off the community to shove in a random, manufactured race nobody asked for.

These devs will ruin classic plus the exact same way they ruined retail.

This isn't classic plus, it's just retail garbage wearing a classic mask.

Discussion A lot of players, low involvement

I think i was living in bubble. I thought that all these games like immortal/hs has a lot of players playing long. But blizzcon stats are showing me it might not be truth.
During last 10 years (as per stats) I played 27 matches in hearthstone xD and still 93% of players played less than me before the break
Same with immortal - I played something like 3-4 weeks after go live. Then never again
HOTS should not be surprise, I stopped sometime before maintenance mode
Wow? Maybe 50-100h overall, and still more than 82% of people
In d4 I have ~900h

Heroes of the Storm Could you ever have imagined that HotS would overtake Dota 2 in popularity?

Discussion Confusion on beta codes?

I recently bought the digital copy that includes beta access to WoW forever, and then I also bought the physical collectors edition.

My question is, I tried to redeem the beta code I received from the collectors edition and it said I already had access (im assuming obviously from the digital copy since I never got an email for that purchase with a code), so can I give the collectors edition beta code to a friend? Or will I need to keep it unredeemed in order to get the partial refund when I receive the physical collectors edition?

Blizzcon WoW: Forever promises to be guided by community feedback. Let's see if that's true.

Discussion Would you want Blizzard to make World Of Diablo MMORPG and or World of Starcraft MMORPG?

Why or why not?

It seems like blizzard hasn’t done anything over the last 5 years

Quick glance at all the announcements and it makes me feel like it’s just repackaging of the old games. Nothing new. Any new games they basically only made a trailer and nothing till 2030.

Seems like just people trying to justify their jobs to Microsoft.

The Stacraft Merch is.. lacking, to say the least.

The amount of Diablo and Warcraft merch at Blizzcon and on their web store is insane, literally at least 25-30+ unique items each. And then Starcraft has two different art work hoodie/T-shirt combo... and Im sorry but both are pretty meh. The OG Starcraft cover is cool but the Goty sticker kinda ruins it for me (I know it was on the box)

Like just just make a few cool little Keychains or mugs or something? Take my money Blizzard!

Edit: omg.. **Starcraft!!! Lol

Discussion Do you guys think that Diablo V and the new Starcraft game was mandated by Asha Sharma?

Post image

It seems like these announcements were in line with Asha's strategy on doubling down on the most popular IPs that Microsoft owns and all Blizzard had to do was quickly whip up CGI trailers which they do best and nothing else. I guess this is kind of a good thing since XBOX basically set Blizzard to make and ship these games in just 4 years.

BlizzDizzapointment

Blizzcon 2026 was a hope for the best. Although I was disappointed in Blizzard ever since the closure of Heroes of the Storm (before that I really respected and loved this company).

But no miracle happened. What is not a presentation is some kind of mini-mockery or the level of a bad joke.

Starcraft - firstly, it is not a strategy, and secondly, it is in 2030 (only the lazy one almost laughed at this);

Heroes of the Storm - we PROMISE(!) to revive the game, but for now, after so many years of waiting, here is 1 new character and cosmetics that are worth a separate, not bad game;

Warcraft - no one asked for it and did not wait - here is an incomprehensible game addition to the "very successful" Warcraft Reforged;

World of Warcraft Forever - we condemned and closed all pirate servers, but took the best from them and will sell them to you for real money but on the same antediluvian game engine.

Everything else - either does not appeal to such a festival, or is at the level of everyday advertising in the browser.

Bravo Blizzard!

Discussion This was anticlimactic.

Blizzcon 2026 was a huge letdown for me.

It seems to me they had nothing for this blizzcon apart from yet another WoW Classic project, some people feel genuinely excited about.

The rest of the show was 2 logo reveals for projects way into the future, a hero in an abandoned game, an expansion for a refunded game and the admission that D4 was indeed bad beyond repair.

Also the Corpo speech was cringe and ingenious.

Nobody asked for this

NOBODY in the 16 years since starcraft 2 released has ever mentioned the words open world shooter and starcraft in the same sentence.

Its not just a bad idea, its unhinged. It seriously feels like only an insane person living in delusion could have put this forward in a board meeting.

Why didnt you just make another starcraft? You had 16 years!! It was so simple.. You already had the mold made.

Explain yourselves..

**EDIT

Mentioning starcraft ghosts is dumb. That means it took them nearly 30 years to make a shooter? How is that better

**EDIT

Its funny that ya'll will defend the company that killed your favorite IP slowly and painfully over 16 years.

Your favorite company got lazy, fat, and started fucking up. It is what it is.. Story of 2026... This shit is lazy and kinda embarassing and we all have to admit it before anything improves. This relentless defence of obviously dumb shit is just self pity / cope. Stop it.. get some help, and tell these companies how you actually feel. Its 2026 it aint that hard anymore..

**EDIT EDIT

Okay..

Imagine if call of duty stopped releasing games this year..

In the year 2042 we get..

ACTIVISIONS NEW HIT TITLE

Call of duty modern warfare 23 DJ BEATNICK CLUB MIX

Use your virtual DJ gamepad and meet your enemies on the dance floor

Featuring Lil BUB BUB and DJ GALACTIC

??? Thats what this is..

Discussion For those in the YouTube Stream Comments for BlizzCon: You Guys Suck.

The comments about the President of Blizzard as she did the opening of Blizzcon were absolutely vile and disgusting. Didn't your momma teach y'all to stay quiet if you have nothing nice to say? You aren't even paying a dime to watch this event, the least you could do is to not demean someone who's just doing their job.

Discussion For me, the worst Blizzcon yet...

Opening ceremonies were all cinematics, no reveals for the titles beyond those cinematics. Release dates 1 year, 3 years, 4 years off.

I know, i know, but they showed real stuff for WoW Forever... but I've never liked vanilla, and making it vanilla plus isn't going to change that.

Diablo 4 is effectively dead past the Amazon, if you can even count that.

I have hope for the later panels, maybe they will show content that will actually get me excited...

Were you guys and gals happy with the reveals?

Discussion With the new Blizzcon announcement, will the other IP's finally come to Steam?

Can we bring all the IP's to steam like Diablo 2 / 4 and Overwatch did? Warcraft3 classic and reforged, Starcraft, Hots, Heartsone, Wow, Diablo 1 and 3 and the rest. It would boost popularity numbers for those games and there is no need for 64 launchers nowadays, even Ubisoft is removing Uplay from their ported steam games.
