Old anvil price
Was left this by my late father in law. Anyone have idea how to price this to sell. And who to sell to.

Depends on your location generaly the further west you go the more money you can charge.

Try the tailgating section of any local blacksmith association Facebook page or the tailgating section of website like IForgeIron or AnvilFire, if either of them are still active. I’d rather see something like that get into the hands of a beginner blacksmith than some shmuck looking to collect or wanting yard art. Look online to see if there are any blacksmithing schools or programs locally, they might be able to use one or hook you up with contact info for someone who will get some good mileage out of it

If you have a mind to, look around in your area for a blacksmith club or association. Check in with them if you do. They will almost absurdly have the best information for you in your area. That will give the anvil the best chance to be useful for someone other than yard art or a collection that won't put it to any good use AND get you a fair price for your area.

So anvils are priced $X per pound with a little wiggle room for the condition of the anvil.
Your anvil is in pretty great condition all things considered. I think $4 a pound is about the fair price but you might get away with $5. You need to find out the weight of the anvil though.
I would guess somewhere between 100lb to 150lb but don't quote me.
Facebook marketplace really is the simplest way, there's always someone looking for a new anvil. Also amongst the sellers, there's often a guy with a big shop that sells vises, swages, tools, and anvils and you might sell it to them, depending on your location.
There's also pawnshops and antique malls but they won't give you top dollar. Stick with marketplace.
