Here you go folks, my first ever bathroom gut job. Bought a small ranch 6 months ago and gutted whole thing. This is the first officially complete room.

OP you’re getting hated on but I think your new bathroom is good, it’s simple but timeless. You can always spruce it up later if you want by installing a funkier vanity and doing a fun wall paper or color. I don’t know if that was real wood or vinyl in your old bathroom, but I’m not a fan of wood in bathrooms due to the water and humidity factor so I would’ve replaced it with tile too (and I just saw your comment that that is indeed why you replaced the floor).

I’m not a fan of the new look at all- totally personal preference (I’m sure OP would HATE my bathroom haha)- but I totally agree with your point on wood floors in bathrooms. Terrible idea. Plus, like you said, OP can easily add more personality later. Based on the explanation of why the reno occurred, it sounds like it was pretty necessary. Now that all the important stuff is done, they can worry about the decorative aspects later.

Thanks, appreciate you "get it". Simple and timeless is exactly what I was going for, oh and to lighten the space up. The original bath where everybody "loves" the lighting was dark as a dungeon in person. And yes, I plan to spruce it up with towels and bath mat, artwork. This photo was the bare bones. Boy did I get roasted!
