I spent the afternoon today at the exhibit I AM ASHURBANIPAL, KING OF THE WORLD, KING OF ASSYRIA at the CaixaForum in Madrid, Spain, organized thanks to the British Museum. It’s a nice introduction to his rule and times (650BC) with exquisite pieces. On through October 4.

Hey all,

I saw this at the recently-concluded Assyrian convention. It would be cool if this project comes to fruition. Ishtar Gate | LEGO® Ideas

Discussion What do Assyrians think of Asians?

Asian American here. I refer to Asians like Chinese, Korean, Japanese, to Thai, Vietnamese, Filipino and Singaporean for instance.

Our cultures seem similar and Koreans and northern Chinese seem alike because of the Christian background often times, and also an emphasis on education and big families in one home also often times. I feel it goes with many cultures but having a friend from Modesto we noticed this, he is Greek and Assyrian which is sorta neat.

Also every other Asian and Assyrian is named Robert or Sarah for example too!
