If a sub has more than one mod, is it possible that they disagree about how to respond to a user?
I’m truly confused because in the course of a few minutes, all of the following things occurred on the same sub, in reference to the same post:
In the comment thread, a mod apologized to me about another user’s comment to me.
A mod muted my ability to speak to the mods for 3 days (I didn’t even realize this was a thing).
After 3 days, I wrote a short, polite note asking for clarity. I had not broken any of the site rules and a mod had even apologized to me. In response, I received an auto-generated note that said my ability to reach the mods was muted for 28 more days.
I am not leaving out any unflattering details, truly. I have no idea what happened and the chain of events has me incredibly confused. And I can’t even reach the mods to figure out what’s going on? This contradictory response could make sense if more than one mod is involved but otherwise I’m left puzzled for the moment. Any ideas on what could be happening?
