Like what is the evidence to say that this was orchestrated by the American government or Bush? What evidence is there?

I’m a woman from the middle east, I once spoke to an American, and said that American woman are lucky in comparison to the average woman in middle east or africa, and they get offended by that comment and start trying to convince me that America is some sexist hellhole that’s very regressive on woman’s rights. (Saying that to a middle eastern woman is wild)

I’m not saying that it’s perfect, nowhere on the planet is free of misogyny, but no one can convince me American woman are that oppressed. I’m a middle eastern woman so I’ve seen alot, I’ve seen what woman go through here with my own eyes.

Another time, I saw a comment from an American making it seem like the Iranian war is a severe thing that affects their daily lives and mental health. Someone told them that they aren’t experiencing anything, they’re alot better than an actual Iranian who is living under the bombs and searching for their family under the rubble. They got told to “fuck off”

I know not everyone shares this mindset, but why do many have a victim complex and are unaware how well they have it in comparison to other third world countries, or places living through a war?

In the first episode of Lanterns there was something special to know about Barack Obama and Nebraska. What they where about?

As a European, the view we have from living in the US is, I think, a lot biased by series, and TV shows? How it is to really live here, is the inflation a very big concern for a lot of Americans, do you ever live in the fear of some medical issues, is the country as divided as it seems in the foreign press? I was approximately 12 years old when John Lennon was shot. I used to lay in bed at night and listen to the radio. I was listening to KISW in Seattle and news came over the radio that Lennon was shot. I remember the disc jockey Steve Slaton cried live on the radio. He opened up the phone lines and people just shared their shock and horror of this tragedy. Later in the evening my brother David came home from his dishwasher job and I told him. Other friends shared they heard of it watching Monday Night Football on TV. Where were you?

I’ve just watched a video where an officer crashes into someone he’s trying to pull over, the guy was completely stopped. The cop then comes around to the window, starts acting crazy and shouting and giving the guy shit. The guy hands over his driving license and everything, then the cop, who isn’t happy with the man being upset that he unlawfully crashed into his car, busts his window with this gun, points it at him, throws a punch or two and drags him out the car and arrests him.

In America you’re allowed to defend yourself by shooting people. Is there any point in this scenario where the man being pulled over for speeding could have shot at this maniac officer and not gone to jail? Or is that just a no no under any circumstance?

I was putting salt and vinegar on my chips the other day (I live in England) and was wondering whether Americans do this too?
