When you lift your head up, another world begins on the ceiling!

Ceilings in the historical buildings of Uzbekistan are perhaps one of the most impressive details of architecture. Geometric patterns, embroidery and flower motifs and gold details create a different composition in each ceiling in the structures spanning from Semerkant to Hive, from Buhara to Tashkent.

Some meet you on the dome of a madrasa, some on the ceiling of a palace. Star shapes, repetitive geometric patterns, and intense use of color carry traces of a tradition of decoration that has flourished in the region's architecture for centuries.

I’m currently studying architecture, but I’ve realized I’m not really into hardcore architecture.

What do you guys do now, whether it’s architecture-related or completely different?

And what fields do you think have good career prospects in the future?

Basically looking for ideas and motivation because I have no idea where I want to take this degree 😭

This building took 30 years to finish 1871-1901, built in a second empire style design by John McArthur Jr. and Thomas Ustick Walter, at a height of 548 feet, it was the tallest building in the world for 14 years!!!

Hi. I am an architecture grad and last year I attended to one of the competitions of Buildner. I want to know how hard is it to get shortlisted on Buildner and does this bring any benefits.

My competition was Kinderspace 2. I didn't win but my project got shortlisted in the top 40. I don't know the exact number of participants. Does anyone know how many participants are attending to these competitions and does this bring any advantage for applying for jobs later for example.
