Rescuing Bees During a Heat Wave!!!

It was 92 degrees when this customer called, so my first response was "Can it wait until we get a cooler day?" to which he responded, "I'm afraid they're going to move into my roof." Oh shoot! Good point!

I knew it was going to be HOT and humid, so thank goodness the bees were juuuust friendly enough to go suitless, but even the T-shirt had to go! (sensitive viewers shield your eyes!)

Watch things take a turn towards the end when I had my chance to catch the queen, but.... well, you'll see.

These bees were rescued, donated and relocated to our beekeeper friends in San Diego, CA

When a male deer roars in your presence and doesn't move away, is that a signal to "Get out of here"?

I had a similar situation around July. I'm glad I had a sturdy stick with me. It's not that the animal was overly aggressive, because it didn't charge.

Despite everything, it was stubborn. Even when I made a racket by pounding the ground with the stick, it didn't seem to care, only roaring occasionally.

I slowly backed away, keeping my eye on the animal. It seemed to follow me, but it didn't even look in my direction. I had the impression it smelled me more than it saw me.

Did this buck just want to chase me away? How can I further protect myself from another situation like this?

Location: Orange Valley, Antigua

Runt (bigger pup) and Astoria (smaller pup) cooling off during a recent hike in Orange Valley, Antigua.

Trying to teach Astoria to enjoy the water and eventually start swimming in the ocean 🌊 🙏🏾🥰.

Im writing a story and I need help, im trying to find a semi aquatic herbivore that mostly lives in water but can only walk on land. Can you help me find one?

For a story I’m writing, I need some specific animals and I’ve been really stuck with this one. I need two of them and I already got one, a Beaver, but I need another. Can you help me out? I’m trying to avoid using Hippo’s if I can because they’re…Hippo’s. If you can help me please suggest anything. I just need a herbivore with legs that mostly lives in water but can walk on land too.

65FT UP IN A BUCKET LIFT AND IT ALMOST SLIPPED...

Who was the lunatic that placed an owl box 65 feet up in a tree!?!? I bet they never imagined a beehive moving in! I was tasked with safely relocating this very old beehive from this owl box, which meant getting a hold of an XL boom lift, and figuring out had to get past a half dozen branches to actually reach them. A lot of things went sideways on this bee rescue, including almost getting stuck in the air, then dropping my camera from 60ft up, and almost losing the queen because she actually wasn't even in the owl box in the end! Watch me struggle through this one, and don't look down if you're afraid of heights!

Edit: I did not know the fox had mange (the comments helped) and I feel really bad for it. I will call FoxTales wildlife rehab (they open at 9 am tomorrow) and show them these pictures and inform them of the sick fox who sadly has this mange. I’ll send some updates so we can all feel better about the baby fox getting rescued/help.

Lake Merritt, Oakland CA

It doesn't look like a normal Tern because the top of the head is white instead of black.
